INTRODUCTION
A project can be defined as an effort which are made by a company to modify its specific
product or business operation to enhance and improve its efficiency level (DeVaro, 2020). Thus,
in current business environment it is important and essentially required that a company make
continuous improvement that is possible only through implication of management of successful
business project. The current investigation is conducted on Marks & Spencer which is one of the
well-known organisation of Britain, which was founded in year 1884 and is headquartered in
London, United Kingdom. This report comprises of a discussion about the aim and objectives of
the research project along with developing a project management plan to accomplish and met
these set aim and objectives. Further, a discussion about work breakdown structure and Gantt
chart is also there which is reflecting about set timescales.

Talent management basically represents the process that is adopted by a business
organisation to identify, attract, develop, motivate and retain talented employees within their
firm to have improved productivity. Thus, an analysis can be made that talent management is
having a wide scope for all business organisation which supports a more productivity and
efficient workforce for better accomplishment and achievement of organisational goals
(Селивановских, 2020). Marks and spencer is a well-known British retailing company that is
facing a high level of competition from its larger number of rivals comprises of Tesco, Asda,
Sainsbury and many more. Therefore, current investigation is conducted on Marks and Spencer
to evaluate about the role of talent management strategies in enhancing the overall competitive
strength of a firm the main aim and objective of which are provided as below:
Research aim
The aim of current project is, “To research about the concept of talent management along
with analysing the role of talent management strategies in enhancing competitive strength of a
firm”. A research project on Marks and Spenser.
