Introduction
For running business in successful manner it is important for an business firm to
follow equality and diversity at workplace because it help in defining and providing equal
opportunities to workforce. Aim of this report is to analyse challenges as well as issues which
occurs due to equality and diversity at workplace for resolving them (Mehta and et. al.,
2018). This research covers aim and objectives, time framework and research methodology
for gathering data. Moreover, data analysis and interpretation has done for questionnaire and
accordingly reflection is written and recommendation is provided.
Background of organisation
This research is based on Tesco which is British multinational groceries and general
merchandise retailer. Respective organisation was founded in 1919 and its founder was Jack
Cohen as well as headquartered at Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England United
Kingdom. They are serving is several areas such as UK, Ireland, India, Malaysia, Thailand,
Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
Aim of research: “To analyse effectiveness of implementing different strategies at workplace
in order to promote workforce diversity.” A case study of Tesco
Objectives of research
To analyse the concept of equality and diversity.
To identify strategies related to equality and diversity.
To determine benefits of equality and diversity on working of company.

This is related to the document which applied for describing each and every stage of
project or task. Main elements related to planning include initiating, planning execution,
performing and controlling, it is important for completing project because it result in

enhancing opportunities for attaining outcomes related to project management plan in better
manner. Explanation of these are as follows :-
Cost – It is related to the amount which incurred for completion of project work
through satisfying need as well as demand of customers. Thus, for conducting
research related to equality and diversity at workplace investigator need approx.
£2000. On the other hand, there is requirement of 9000 pounds for collecting
information and data in effective manner. This budget is prepared related to cost for
various activities and task to be completed in given time period.
Scope – it is important to know scope of research before assigning it to individual. In
relation of Tesco, scope is related to know about issues and challenges which arise
because of lack in equality and diversity within workplace.
Time – It is important for project management plan to indicate time period for
completing research work. For time period purpose, Gantt Chart has been designed
because it represent duration which required for completing project.
Quality – It is components related to project management plans which assist in
maintaining information quality for gaining positive outcomes. Each and every
information and data has to be gathered from proper and authenticate sources as well
as organisation collect appropriate and authentic data through online sources. In same
manner it is responsibility of investigator to keep data and information confidential.
Communication – It is related to transferring data and information from one
respondent to another within understandable manner. For communication purpose
both communication method can be use i.e., oral or written. Organisation have to
conduct meeting on regular duration for discussing issues and other important
information.
Risk – It is one of the important elements related to project management plan. There
are several risk which researcher and organisation both face while conducting
research work. In relation of researcher major risk are lack of resources, limited time
period and inappropriate response from respondents. On the other hand, risk which
organisation face are lack of proper resource utilisation, employees deny to adopt new
strategy and so on.
Resources – It is one of the essential component of project management plan which
provide assistance in identifying resources needed for conducting research work. The
resources needed by investigator are funds, time as well as appropriate sources of
