Talent management is an essential HR practice which helps business firms
create skilled workforce which aims to work with dedication for the
company for long time period. The dependence of business firms on labour
to gain competitive advantage has increased the importance of business
firms has increased the importance of talent management strategy as it not
helps the company provide consumer satisfaction but also plays an
important role in securing leading industry position for the business firms.

The enterprise selected for the present
research is the British retail firm
Waitrose.
Waitrose was founded in the year 1904
and is currently headquartered in
Bracknell, United Kingdom.
The company is the eighth largest
retailer in the UK with 5.1 % share of
thee grocery market.

Talent management is defined as the
systemized and deliberate attests of
business firms to attract, engage,
develop and retain skilled employees in
the company for a long period of time.
The main purpose of talent management
focuses on identification and recruitment
of highly skilled employees at every
position of the company to drive success
of the firm.
