Title: Talent management in an organisation.
INTRODUCTION
Talent management is defined as a practice in which organisation undertake methodical
organized process to manage talent within an organisation in a strategical and systematic manner.
Main aim behind this to hire talented candidates and retain experienced employees for long term
sustainability growth and more competitive advancements (ALPARSLAN and SANER, 2020).
Talent management acts as an essential aspect for all the organisations irrespective of its size and
scope in order to ensure more competitive advancements compared to other rivals in respective
industry.
Present report is being made on TESCO, a leading multinational organisation operating
its business services in retail industry. In this report formative discussions has been made on
project aim, objectives along with project management plan, reflection and recommendations.

Research Aim:
To study the importance of talent management strategies in success of an
organisation”. A case study of TESCO.
Research Objectives:
To determine the concept of talent management.
To evaluate different challenges that an organisation can face in talent management.
To examine strategies through which Primark can conduct talent management effectively.
Research Questions:

Literature Review
Concept of talent management
According to the view point of Liu, Qingqing and Liu, 2020, talent management is
termed as a process in which an organisation attract employees in a systematic and attractive
manner in order to retain highly skilled, talented and potential employees for long period of time.
This process allows entity to ensure continuous growth along with more competitive
advancements comparatively to other competitors in respective industry. Talent management
proves to be an effective process through which entity can successfully drive creative thinking,
innovation and productivity in organisation workplace structure through which entity can assure
more growth and development. Thus, according to the above mentioned analysis it has been
evaluated that talent management is one of the most important process that allows an
organisation to ensure various types of benefits in terms of higher profitability, long term growth,
maximised profitability, more competitive advancements and more
Different challenges that an organisation can face in talent management
As per the perception of Ibrahim and AlOmari, 2020 it has been evaluated that an entity
can face different forms of challenges in the process of talent management that can lower down
its end result. This has been underlined that major challenge which is affecting talent
management of an organisation is development of culture of engagement. This challenge states
that an entity can find issues or challenges in building cooperation and trust between employees
and senior management. Furthermore, it has been evaluated that organisation can also face
challenges in terms of offering effective form of training and development courses to employees
that can affect entity operations of talent management. Thus, according to the above mentioned
analysis it has been evaluated that these are some of the certain challenges that can affect talent
management process of an entity that can further lead entity towards decrease in performance
level of both organisation and employees, reduction in rate of competitive value, lower
productivity and more.
Different strategies through which Primark can conduct talent management effectively
As per the view point of Wassell and Bouchard, 2020 it has been determined that talent
management in one of the most important process that will lead an organisation to ensure long
term sustainability, higher growth, more profitability and more. However, entity can face
different types of challenges that can have negative impact upon company talent management

process. In order to overcome these challenges there are some certain form of strategies that can
be undertaken by organisation in order to increase effectiveness of their talent management
process. In terms with TESCO it has been evaluated that company by treating employees as a
valuable asset can manage human resources in an effective manner. This will significantly
increase sense of belongingness among employees towards company that will encourage them to
perform their task with more hard work and in effective manner. In addition to this, it has been
underlined that entity by offering proper training and development courses to employees can also
make them adaptive towards changes by increasing their skills and potential in efficient manner.
Furthermore, company can also undertake advantage of strategies related to providing attracting
rewards and compensation to employees through which they can be provided with higher job
satisfaction.
P2 Project Management Plan
Project management plan is termed as a systematic document that include various
elements by emphasising upon project deliverables, objectives, budget and timeline. This plan
with facilitate researcher to conduct research in more effective manner.
Cost :- This is an estimated cost that are required to be invested in project as to
accomplish all project activities in an effective manner (Mohammed, Baig and Gururajan, 2020).
In order to conduct present project estimated cost of £1500 is required.
Scope :- It involves factors that are basically related to project tasks, deliverables, costs
and deliverables. It has been evaluated that this project is made upon the theme of talent
management which is having wide scope for company growth and development.
Quality :- This factor plays most important roles, in order to duly maintain present
project quality researcher will make sure that project will get accomplished with higher quality
standards.
Communication:- Effective communication process will lead towards ensuring
accomplishment of project objectives in time effective manner. Researcher will take advantage
of email, telephone, social media and more to fulfil present project requirements.
Risk: It is a key element which is required to be effectively consider by researcher in
order to make sure that research will not get affected due to unnecessary elements. It is essential
for researcher to identify various risks such as availability of funds, informations form
authenticated sources and more in order to fulfil research objectives with higher efficiency.
