INTRODUCTIONStrategic management and leadership are two highly critical factors that eachemployee must possess for achieving higher productiveness. It is a process ofstipulating the organization's objectives and developing varied plans and policies toaccomplish these objectives. On the other hand, leadership is a quality that anindividual possess in particular to persuade or motivate its staff to share the same visionand direction that will help in gaining success to organization on a whole. Wahaca sinceits first opening in London Covent Garden in 2007 has expanded itself into 13 branchesacross the capital, that is, London. It is famous for its Mexican cuisines that are inspiredby fresh street food menu and presenting value for money dishes to its customers.Herein, this report has been construed to evaluate the principal skills andknowledge that are requisite for me to consider as a senior manager of Wahaca.Aim-The aim of this report is to make a critical analysis of my individual capabilities andevaluate the competencies I hold to meet for personal and professional excellence.Wahaca in its period of expansion requires me to possess different skills that positivelycontribute in its expansion.Executive Summary-From the accomplished report I have analyzed that I have to lookupon to develop my analytic skills as short term goals. Undertake varied responsibilitiesto lead and direct the team. I have also evaluated that by adopting transformativeleadership characteristic I will be able to engage employees of Wahaca with greaterefficiency. The interdependence of data and information and its relevance in decisionmaking is shown. The financial data of company is presented which states the currentposition of firm more stable and stagnant. Lastly, the report has different concepts andtechniques that will assist in enhancing everyone's performance.Background Report-the report has highlighted the personal goals that as a seniormanager one needs to accomplish to gain opportunities. The report has identifiedcompany objectives and then further linked them to personal development plan torecognize the need and areas of development. The link between data and information isshown and their importance for decision making is briefly outlined in the report. Thefinancial statements are prepared to analyze the current position of Wahaca in terms ofPage1of31
sales and profit. Different concepts of marketing have been shown and lastly toenhance employee’s productivity different techniques are applied.1.1 Developing goalsBeing the senior manager of Wahaca, it is important for me to gain skills that are willhelp the organization to gain progress towards success.
