Entrepreneurs are of immense importance for the development, growth and expansion
of any business organisation as entrepreneurs are capable of creating employment for
the public by creating unique innovative solutions which address current operational
issues and problems of a business organisation so that it can generate increased profits
in the consumer market.
This is why it is critical to understand what differentiates a successful entrepreneur
from other managers and average entrepreneurs.
The following skills, character traits, personality, background and experiences of
successful entrepreneurs are linked to real life entrepreneurs J.K. Rowling and
Elizabeth Gooch both of whom are amongst the most successful female entrepreneurs
in the UK.

Skills and Character Traits that
Differentiate a Successful Entrepreneur
Successful entrepreneurs all share certain common skills and character traits that help them
become successful in their entrepreneurial ventures. The character traits and skills of
Self-Starter: A successful entrepreneur does not wait for other to help them in regards to bringing
their vision to life, instead they actively start it themselves, finding out ways which would help
bring their vision into reality. Successful entrepreneurs are proactive in their operations and do not
wait for others to provide them permission to achieve what they want to. Both Elizabeth and Mrs
Rowling started their operations by themselves and were proactive to bring their vision to reality.
Creativity: Successful entrepreneurs need to be creative and look for ways to achieve results or
address problems in a creative way, thinking outside the box to accomplish their objectives. Most
successful entrepreneurs are able to think creatively, using their out of the box thinking to
accomplish objectives that others with tunnel vision are incapable of.
