The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is a program aimed at solving issues such as poverty, unemployment, and low education. The 17 interlinked goals include no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduce inequality, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, peace justice and strong institutions, and partnership for the goals. United nation sustainable development goal is about to establish the culture to rise out of
deep poverty. The main feature of this goal include no poverty, zero hunger, good health and
well being, quality education, gender equality, clean water sanitation, affordable and clean
energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduce
inequality, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, peace justice and strong
institutions and partnership for the goals (Gil and et.al., 2019). All these are the core values and
features associated with this whole campaign. This program is about to ensure a proper culture
and atmosphere to deliver the best suitable environment where all aspects can be covered and all
areas can deal with the requirements. This program contains a proper guidance of experts to
ensure the high level of success of this whole campaign. The program, cover all areas and
aspects that can support the society to maximise the overall growth and development.
Summary of the issue:
The sustainable development goals (SDG) also known as Global goals are collection of 17
goals which are interlinked with each other. The main purpose of forming these goals is to solve
the issues such as poverty, unemployment, low education etc. These goals are set with the aims
that all countries must adopt it in order to achieve better and more sustainable future. The SDG is

set up in the year 2015 by the United Nation General Assembly which also include the UN
Resolution called as 2030 Agenda. The year selected for the achievement of the targets are
between 2020 to 2030. The agenda state that by the end of the 2030 all people will able to live
their life peacefully and enjoy prosperity. The outcome of the development goals must be
balanced social, economic and environmental sustainability (Xiao and et.al., 2018). With the
application and achievement of the below described 17 goals helps in reducing and eliminating
the issues which are as follows:
The 17 SDGs are as follows which includes

5. Gender Equality,
6. Clean Water and Sanitation,

17. Partnership for the Goals.
The example of countries that have adopted the 2030 Agenda are Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan,
India, Africa etc. They are basically an active participant of this program. The main motive
behind forming SDG is solving four main cross cutting issues which include Gender equality,
education, culture and health. All 17 goals are set in order to solve the four issues in which
education is always the first priority (Schaltegger, Beckmann and Hockerts, 2018). The three
sectors which need to look out each and every country in order to achieve UN sustainable

development goals are economic, socio-culture and environmental sectors. This program should
be focused on all groups including person with disability, migrants, refugees etc.

The above two image state that how the man is living on the streets in Tokyo which
represent the poverty issues. While, the second image states the poor quality of education in
Kenya. These two images clearly state that the countries have to achieve the goals of no poverty
and quality education. Both the images are interlinked with each other because if child get good
education, then they will able to earn by their own. If they will earn than poverty will
automatically get decreases (Pedersen, 2018). The purpose behind using this data and image is
that it gives clear insight about the different country’s conditions. Taking reference of image
while discussing about the program helps to build the trust of the society and people towards the

SDG program. It is because achievement of this program does not depend only on government
but people also need to equally contribute in this.
Journalist to mention
Journalist who cover the entire program must focus over all areas associated with the
whole campaign. Journalism plays an important role in case of any campaign as they get the
chance to cover the whole idea and activity. The role of journalist should be to cover all the
success of the campaign along with highlighting about the key areas that need development.
Journalist must also give emphasis over criticality analysing the progress of the campaign. All
such areas must be highlighted that need some strategic action. Also, the journalist must cover
the possible actions that can be implemented to maximize the existing return against the
campaign is launched (Pradhan and et.al., 2017). This is essential for the journalist to highlight
and direct towards the focus area that can bring or generate more return against the campaign is
launched. This is a basic characteristic of the campaign which require the journalist to project the
key performance indicator associated with the campaign. Also, it is important that the journalist
must project all the key changes that society has addressed as a success indicator of this
campaign. Journalist should mention and cover all the stories that got positively influenced in
against to this campaign so that more motivation can bring on the table for all the stakeholder
become a part of this whole campaigning.

The United nation sustainable development goal contain the following aspects.
Financial aspect: involve enhancing the financial growth of society. This involves empowering
all segment of society as a part of this campaign. The financial success will be a key indicator of
this campaign.
Social aspect: is also a core aspect or factor that is associated with this campaign. It involves
increased equality, anti discrimination and such like of features. This is a core value associated
with the campaign that need to highlight. This aspect must be prioritized as a part of this
campaign.
Natural aspect: the aim of this campaign is to protect the nature as well. This is considered as
among the core feature of this campaign.
