Introduction
As a Business Analyst of a real estate consulting firm, for this project, we have been given the
case of Boston Housing Data set, for which we have to find the solution for the issue related to
this company’s business by making use of Data Mining methods and by and evaluation
procedures. We shall be making use of the “Weka” the machine learning software tool to come
up with a solution, by carrying out the data mining procedures and thus evaluating the data sets.
We shall start by carrying out meaningful data selection and sorting; identify patterns and trends
in the data sets than apply the analytical procedures.
All this shall be studied, analysed and discussed in this project.
Task 1 - Data set Understanding
Some of the attributes out of the total 81 attributes from the actual real estate housing data of the
Boston Housing firm are given below,
Id: From the housing data, it identifies the data instances.
MSSubClass: Utilized to determine the dwelling types.
MSZoning: Utilized to determine the general sale zone classification.
LotFrontage: Utilized to specify the property line feet of street.
LotArea: Utilized to specify Lot size in square feet.
Street: Utilized to specify property road access type.
Alley: Utilized to specify the property alley access type.
LotShape: Utilized to specify Property shape.
