UNQUALIFIED ADVISORS2 Non-qualified commenters giving people advises on health In the current society, many members of the society enjoy exploiting others for selfish gain. People engage in fields they are even not qualified to work in those fields in reference to Thompson, (2015). Consequently, as a student studying health and would like to be a health officer in the future, there is a need to address the problem of non-qualified people giving members of the community advice. There are many effects of the unqualified recommendation to people. For instance, one may end up losing his or her life when trying to follow the fake health instruction. In this opinion editorial, it is going to use the principle of human dignity and common good to address the issue of non-qualified commenters giving people advise concerning health matters. Human dignity requires every person to carry out himself or herself with respect and integrity especially when dealing with the human being according toHabermas, (2018). From the Catholic Social Teachings, God created the human being in His image and likeness. Therefore, he deserves quality treatment. The life of everyone is guaranteed by God and nobody should not take advantage of the situation to address the matter of human life when he lacks idea on health solutions. Basing decision on human dignity, there are various ways to solve the issue of unqualified commenters in the field of health. The first solution is that the government should give license to people who are qualified according toHrynkow & Creamer, (2015). At any time, an individual wants to provide advice to people he or she must produce the permit. In this way, no one will suffer because all the advisors on matters of health are qualified and have the government license. Secondly, it is essential for the health institution to offer serious training to the health officers before they go out of the field to advise members of the society on challenges they face about health. For example, some circumstances people who have gone to training leave
UNQUALIFIED ADVISORS3 the institution half-baked. When they go to the field, it is difficult to differentiate them with the fake advisors because the advice they give is the same. The principle of common good aims at fighting for the benefit of every member of the society in every issue according toNovak, (2017). There are people in the community who cannot differentiate between true medical advice and inappropriate advice. However, it is necessary to help such a group of people to maintain a society that embraces common good. As a future nurse, the first step to realizing the common good about the unqualified advisors is to create awareness to the members of the community on how to be able to differentiate between the inexperienced officer and the qualified officer. For instance, after the government has given every advisor license, it is essential to elaborate to the members of the society that they should check at the license carefully before accepting at the advice according toNishino, (2017). From that perspective, everyone in the community will benefit from the steps of doing away with unqualified health officers. Apart from the above approach, it is necessary to have a common place where members of the society can go and get advice. The unqualified commenters mainly take advantage that there is no particular place to give the help, they can walk from home to home giving comments on matters of health without the government officers catching them. Besides having an institution, it is vital for the government to employ officers that go around the community checking for the unqualified health workers and when they meet any of them, they should take them to government offices for further interrogation in reference toMelé, (2016). The city should also have a way they can report the people who are giving them misleading comments on health to assist in eliminating fake health officers. The health of human being is a crucial asset nobody should joke around giving advises which are unqualified. When people abide by the principles of Catholic Social Teachings human
