Instead ofrenewing the contract with the Reebok, NFL agreed with the Nike for the manufacturing rightsof its uniforms under an undisclosed sum. Nike became exclusive league apparel designer withthe maker of the licensed on-field clothes which includes the uniforms, clothes to be worn by thesidelines and the fan gear. Evidently, in the sports apparel market two largest players Nike and Reebok have battled tosecure the various licensing deals to attain it with the various professional leagues along withattaining rights For the top players in the field tennis, golf and various other sports.The sports apparel rights and attaining the licensing deals are quite expensive.
