Urinalysis2 Identify the goal of the urinalysis assessment Urinalysis is an assessment on My Hayne’s urine. The goal of this assessment is to diagnose and monitor Mr. Hayne’s medical condition. This is because his urine output has increased despite being admitted with acute kidney failure. By checking the appearance, concentration and the contents of Mr. Hayne’s urine, this assessment will help determine the cause of the problem as well as monitor the condition and effectiveness of the treatment. Explain why they are important in relation to Mr Hayne’s renal function In relation to Mr. Hayne’s renal function, urinalysis is very crucial in identifying renal impairments, monitoring the progress of the disease as well as checking whether the kidneys are removing excess amounts of proteins. According toPiech and Wycislo (2019), urinalysis helps detect renal disorders. This assessment is thus important because it will help identify the renal abnormalities present in Mr. Haynes. Describe specifically how you will conductundertake? these assessments. When conducting the urinalysis, I will collect Mr. Hayne’s urine sample and evaluate it using dipstick teat which involves placing the urine sample on strips of chemicals so as to detect abnormalities.Delanghe and Speeckaert (2016) argue that dipstick test helps determine if certain substances are present or if their levels are above the normal by changing the color of the chemical strips. This test will therefore help identify the PH, protein and sugar levels in the urine, concentration of particles and blood presence in the urine. All these are essential in diagnosing and monitoring Mr. Hayne’s medical condition.
