Introduction
The report has been used here for the evaluation of the HOYTS website. The details of
the website and the issues that are being faced in the current website have been described in this
report. In addition to this, some additional recommendations have also been included in this
report. The recommendation has also been aided with some prototyping designs that would
helpful on reducing the flaws in the system.
The website to be evaluated for this report is a movie booking website and the evaluation
of the website is to be done and the gaps in the website has been identified. Evaluation is done
from a point of view of movie lover and the system is to be developed so that the viewing
experience of the user is enhanced.
Issues in the current website
The Issues identified in the current website has been described in this report. The
evaluation of the website has been done here with references to theNeilsen and Molochusability
heuristics required for the user interface designs. The description of each type of issues in the
website has been described in the points mentioned below:
Visibility of system status
The navigation features of the website are not very efficiently developed. The users are
not able to view the movies unless they select a cinema. Only after the user selects a cinema the
movies that are being played in the cinema are being displayed to the users. In addition to this,
the menu of the website does not even consist of the movies options so that the user can view a
detailed list of available movies for their viewing.

Match between system and the real world
The movies option is also displayed in the homepage which when clicked shows the
available movies, however it is very difficult to understand the movies that are available in the
website. Hence, the navigability of the website is required to be improved to a large extent.
In addition to this, the menu does not have any indication that a menu exists and the only
the button of the menu exists.
User control and freedom
The user controls of the website and the freedom to surf in the website is limited. The
website limits the users from accessing the movies before selecting a proper cinema.

And the after selection of the cinema the users would be able to only view the movies
which are only available in that particular cinema hall and hence, this is required to be changed
by the website.
Consistency and standards
The usability of the website that is not up to the mark as it is very difficult for the users to
find the correct things in the correct places. In addition to this, it is also to be noted that the users
experience on the website is very difficult as the they have to traverse difficultly on the website
as all the features on the website have not been defined efficiently and the design structures of
the website are not very efficient.
