Usage and value of information and communication technology in the everyday
business operation of a courier company
The emerging technologies boost the growth and development of the organisations. The
requirements are kept on increasing in order to amplify the demands and cost control
for enhancing the productivity of businesses. The Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) plays a significant role in facilitating the business operations through
effectively managing the cost and utilization of resources. The enabling of modern
computing is achieved with the use of technology. The use of ICT in businesses helps in
enhancing the opportunities, cost-savings and conveniences. The courier company
utilizes Information and Communication technology in their everyday business
operations. With the use of ICT, the chances of creation of competitive advantage are
amplified (Lin, et al., 2014).
According to Nzewi (2015), the improvement in organizational planning, communication

making the business processes more innovative and creative. This company utilizes the

the use of technology, it is possible to know about large discounts that help in
enhancing interaction with the authorized resellers of the renowned courier services in
