effect, tolerance and side effect (Lorberbaum et al., 2015). In the study of Marijuana, there is a
gap in knowing its working mechanism (Hasin et al., 2015). Pharmacology helps to study the
action, use, source and properties of the drugs. For effective nursing practice, pharmacology will
help to make them understand about various medicines and its mechanism so that they can gain
knowledge related to its side effects and usefulness (Katzung, 2017). The pharmacology of
medical Marijuana has revealed information about several components present in it and its mode
of action. It is known to have 421 part in which cannabinoids is the most potent chemicals
example delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). The two cannabinoids can
be used as medicine as THC is useful in increasing appetite and CBD helps in reducing pain

G protein receptor, CB1 and CB2. Marijuana has an antagonist effect on the receptor has resulted
