Interpretation- by interpreting data it is stated that in SW region 4 said they aim to grow
business with merger or acquisition. Likewise, in humber region as well 4 people said same
thing. So, in both region merger is not effective option for business growth. It is because there

independently. Along with that, small and micro business are not capable of acquiring other
ones. Hence, in both regions this option to grow does not work.

businesses so this region is more developed. There is high potential of growth and expansion in
SW region. The micro and small are operating and running in this region. Also, owner of these
business is mostly women. Along with that, in SW region business are facing more issues in
order to remain sustain in market since past 1 year as compared to Yorkshire and humber region.
It is because there are less sales and marketing and this is issue since past 1 year. The businesses
are not able to do high sales and it has impacted on their growth and expansion. Due to this the
issue is being faced by them in SW region more than other one. In addition, in SW region there
were many businesses which were aiming to grow it with profits as well as market share as
compared to humber one. This region is more developed than humber one. However, SW is
ahead of Yorkshire in many ways. In addition, with sales business can easily grow and develop
in both regions. But merger option is not suitable in it as business are not capable of acquiring
others due to lack of resources and funds available. In terms of more number of small business
SW region is ahead of humber. In SW region there is more employment as business want to
employ more or same number of people. Also, as there are more micro and small business in SW
region as well. In both regions people does not know that women are owner of firms. Hence, SW
region is more developed than humber one (Wazurkar, Bhadoria, and Bajpai, 2017). Many
firms are operating there and generating revenue. Due to this reason more owner wants to
establish organization there. The existing company in both regions can grow by gaining market
share, sales, etc. this is because they provide varied products. In humber region owner does not
seek external advice. There is change in things as well. But in SW region owner seek advice but
not to that extent. The difference between both of them is not high.

data that is humber and SW. From that it is found that in SW more small and micro business
exists. The common issues faced by them in these regions is sales and marketing. this has highly
impacted on their growth and development. The firms are focusing on growth with aim of profit,
market share and sales. They do not want to grow through merger due to lack of funds and
resources and they are not capable as well. Organisation want to employ more or same number
of people in it. Moreover, people do not know that women are also owner of business in both
regions.
