INTRODUCTION
Vancomycin refers to an antibiotic drug that is effective in
several bacterial infections. It is recommended to use as
intravenously for the treatment of complicated
bloodstream infections,n endocarditis and skin infections.
It also includes help in meningitis and joint infections. It
has common side effects including allergic reactions and
pain at the site of injection. It can lead to creating hearing
loss, bone marrow separation, low blood pressure. In this,
there is a discussion about the description of the
pharmacokinetics of the drug.

Pharmacokinetics of drug
The pharmacokinetic profile of vancomycin is complex
and characterized through two or three compartments.
The pharmacokinetics profile includes drug administration
that can be done intravenously which includes the
standard infusion time which is about 1 hour to minimize
the adverse effect related with the infusion. Here,
creatinine clearance can be referred to as a good

excreted through urine after the first 24 hour of

Mechanism of action
When drug reaches to the cell wall of the susceptible
gram-positive bacterium, here vancomycin get binds to
an acyl-D-ala-D-ala portion of the cell wall which is
growing. It prevents the cell wall after growing and form
cross-linking which helps to make it strong. Vancomycin
includes cell wall synthesis through binding to D-Ala-D-Ala
terminal which is a growing peptide chain during cell wall
synthesis.

Counselling consideration
There is need to ensure that any individual with an
infection should avoid taking this medication. There is
also a need to ensure to get a check through doctor
immediately when getting any type of infection or fever,
harasses, side pain, lower back pain or difficult urination.
There is need to ensure about proper and better health
and need to also ensure to take instruction appropriately
about the administration of vancomycin.

From the above discussion, it can be concluded that when
Vancomycin is an antibiotic medication that can be used
for the treatment of bacterial infection. There is a need to
ensure the proper medication of vancomycin which can
create a side impact on individual health. There is also
need to ensure safety from drug abuse and should be
