Definition and description of Virtualization technology
The virtualization of the physical device helps in increasing the utilization of the resources by
creating a virtual version of the resources and resources. With the creation of virtual view of
resources of the computer a server can be turned into a host for other server groups for sharing
the same resources with the same group (Zhou et al., 2015). It also helps in eliminating the need
of extra cabling, hardware, Server room space and reducing the overhead IT cost and
management cost in the network. The following four situation are described for the virtualization
of the system:
Virtualization for relying on the technology – Since the organization needs technology
for operation virtualization can help in reducing the cost of operation.
Virtualization for increased number of employees – The traditional servers are enough for
small business and virtualization is applied for meeting increased needs of the users
(Verdouw et al., 2016).
Virtualization for covering cost – An initial investment is needed for the implementation
of virtualization and help in gaining Return of Investment and realizing cost savings.
Virtualization for saving space – It can help in saving extra room for the server racks and
save lots of money for the wiring and IT personnel cost for maintaining.
Organization needs for moving to virtualized server
The virtualization of the servers can help in improving the productivity and performance
of the application and maintain a balance between the user requirement and resource utilization.
Virtualization can be solution for the business which is expected to have a recent growth in the
organization without affecting the management and operation cost of the network device. The
