Introduction
Business world has been found to adopt several strategies to enhance the business
operations from within, before implementing them to the business scenario in the market and
to the customers. The business world has always implemented business models that are
advantageous to the business as well as the stakeholders. The Virtuous Business Models are
hence developed to provide the stakeholders with enhanced values, irrespective of the values
or benefits added to the business. The following would be the analysis of the Virtuous
Business Model as the newly implemented business plan.
Summary of the Article
The article that has been presented in this regard presents the idea about the business
organization which adopts the idea of a Virtuous Business Model and the idea behind the
adoption of this business model. The article provides the basic idea behind organizations
thinking about putting the stakeholders above all the others in the business organization is the
latest theory or strategy that is being adopted (Brooker & Boyce, 2018). In this way, the
owners of the business organizations are trying to formulate a business scenario where
offering much more value to the stakeholders to make sure that the business affects them in
the most feasible and advantageous way possible is what thought to be ‘virtuous’ and it is
thought that it is the way for a business organization to reach ‘superiority’. This way, the
people associated with the organization is regarded to be morally excelling than the others.
The stakeholders considered in this regard is both the external and the internal stakeholders,
thus the organizations adopting the Virtuous Business Model is providing the priority and
value to both the employees of the organization as well as the customers.

Defining Virtue
Virtue is generally defined as the way that a person sets up his behavioural principle
to be regarded as morally excelling than the others. The person is called virtuous only when
the behavioural characteristics of the person is regarded as good according to the way in
which the person is represented as honest, respectful, courageous, forgiving, and kind. The
same overview is set for the business prospects as well. They want to excel in their
behavioural goals by proving to be kind to the stakeholders and providing them the priority
for all the benefits irrespective of the virtue maintained during the accomplishments of the
objectives of the business altogether.
The Virtuous Business Model (VBM)
Virtuous Business Model or VBM is based upon the ‘Be-Know-Do’ or BKD model of
leadership development that describes the holistic notion in which the business can be
recognized in the virtue of being, knowing and doing. This model is further divided into the
corresponding domains with the virtuous leader models. These models are the Spiritual
Domain, the Personal Domain and the Professional Domain (Bauman, 2018). The
characteristics of the Spiritual Domain is identified as critical thinker and courageous, the
Personal Domain is identified as respectful, relational and reconciling and the Professional
Domain is integral, inspirational and inclusive. If a business model is running keeping all
these aspects in mind, then it is mostly involving the human characteristics in the professional
business world for creating superiority.
