INTRODUCTIONVisitor attraction is nothing but a place of interest where travellers went for visitingpurpose. These places may be natural, historical, artificial or man-made. It is very important inthe industry of travel and tourism as large number of people go for spending their holidays ortaking a tour. Locations like beaches, mountains, forest, natural parks, resorts, etc. are some ofthe examples of visitor attractions (Nickson, 2013). Tourism is an very essential sector thatinfluences the economy of the nation. The main advantage of tourism is creation of more jobopportunities. Country like Caribbean has tourism as its main source of income. The presentreport is based on the working of National Tourism Agency Visit Britain. It plays a vital role inconstruction of England's tourism product and are increasing the volume and value of tourismexports while developing England and Britain's visitor economy. In this project the importanceof different visitor attractions are described. The needs and motivation of different visitor typesare also explained here. Additionally, the processes and potential issues involved in thedevelopment of visitor attraction are also reflected in this report.TASK 11.1 Overlap of visitor attractions in relation to particular types of attractionVisitor attraction are related with those areas which attracts the attention of large numberof tourists as there are different beautiful places situated such as social, conventional and someare of natural significance. According to the survey data of National Tourism Agency, amomentous rise in the sector of tourism has been seen having a wide increment in various touristactivities. More than 5 million of people get attracted towards National History Museum everyyear. It consist of three sections that is Geological museum, Darwin centre and Attenboroughstudio. By visiting to different tourist attractions, any one gain more and more knowledge abouttheir nation and these places can be visited along with family members. These are best places tospend some time with relatives or friends. The world's largest museum of ornamental liberal artsand designing is Victoria and Albert Museum. This consists of around 5.3 million objects (Page,2011). It was built in the year of 1852 and has its own importance. It was named after the QueenVictoria and Prince Albert. There are some visitor attraction that are following:Natural attraction:This consist of natural places and scenes. This is developed in orderto make aware all civilians about the significance of nature. The beauty of such places are1
created by using several concepts. There are different natural places in the UnitedKingdom that needs more attention in order to protect them. People went for visitingearthy or natural places as they want to spend some time in peace and getting free fromthe noise and tension or stress of city. Example of such places are Lake Windermere andPembroke coast.Heritage:UK is full of historical places, because of this National tourism agency GreatBritain have taken several steps in making people knowledgeable about the heritage andculture of nature. Some of the heritage sites are museum, old railway engines, channels,etc. It is the responsibility of the all corporate of visitor attraction to conserve theirheritage and cultural places.Events:Events are organised for those areas where tourism related activities are veryless. For those areas, enterprise have started organising events regarding culture,tradition, music, food, etc. Olympics is a most popular event that was unionised in theyear of 2012. It had bring large number of people to visit such places where games areorganised.1.2 Importance of different visitor attractionsVisitors attractions is very important as it play a vital role in growing job opportunities.National Tourism Agency Visit Britain is therefore making more efforts in convincing people totake a tour of UK. If more and more people goes there then tourism sector grows and ultimatelythe economy of nation goes higher.
