1.1 Discuss the overlap of visitor attractions in relation to particular types of attraction.
The visitor attractions can be man-made or the natural locations that attract a large number of
inbound and outbound tourists. The visitor attractions are the buildings or parks or museums,
which are built for the purpose of attracting the tourists. The visitors’ attractions include the
buildings that were built many years ago in prehistoric times and are serving as finest tourists
attractions now (Mason, 2015). Overlapping of visitor attraction in general language means an
attraction or building that was built for another purpose and is now used for attracting the
tourists. Generally, international tourists are attracted more to the places than the national or
inbound tourists for visiting the visitor attractions in the UK. The travel and tourism sector

changes in their policies and provide them easy accessibility and provide various gifts to the
local community people on visits to the visitor attractions (Hunter, et. al., 2015). Few changes in
strategies can attract the inbound tourists.
Overlap of Visitor Attractions:-The overlap of visitor attractions in general means that the
attractions or the building that was built or made for the different purpose, but now are serving as
a visitor attraction. The visitor attractions include the places that were built differently or the
places that are antique and old enough. In relation to this, overlapping of visitor attraction can be
best explained by taking the example of St. Paul's Cathedral's which has the famous dome with
great interior and artwork did and dense mosaics. Furthermore, it is considered a sacred and
spiritual-religious place which attracts a number of religious community.

To attract the tourists it becomes very important that there are enough visitor attractions to attract
them. Visitor attractions can be in the form of old monuments or buildings with great

National Maritime Museum, Greenwich Park, the Queen’s House, Blackpool Tower, Tower of
London, etc. are some which attract outbound tourists a lot (Mariani, et. al., 2014). The
government has to focus more on the inbound tourism and should provide benefits to the local
people and inbound tourists so that they also visit these visitor attractions.

Stonehenge is a monument with bluestones used of prehistoric age and possessing acoustic
properties which help in attracting visitors. It is known as the world’s mysterious visitors’
