INTRODUCTION
Consultancy refers to the expert advice which is given to the individual or group of person
for their betterment (Folinas and Metaxas, 2020). An organisation or client paid to the
consultancy firm to ask for the particular solution to address their business problem. This study is
based on the consultancy report where the client paradise travel is encountering several problems
because of the pandemic impact, as they have adversely hit by the covid. Thus in this report it
will highlight the solutions that is made by the consultancy team for the tour operator. Following
will cover the identification of the issues which is currently faced by the client organisation, it
will also discuss the plan of actions and recommendation. Further it will cover the analysis of the
project and role, main duties played by the individual in consultancy team. It also carries out the
finding and discussion and evaluation of the case study.

Paradise travel is the tour operator in the scenario, on the basis of the case study it is stated
that the organisation is operated in a tourism industry as it is clearly seen that tourism sector is
the highly or adversely impacted by the covid pandemic. Because of this pandemic impact
company has experienced the several falls in their business and now this issues are become
hurdles for them to sustain in the market. As the major current issues which is identified by the
consultant team with regards to tour operator is lack of technological advancement and also there
are some loop holes identified in supply chain (Miao and et.al 2021). Because of the covid 19
supply chain is badly impacted as in tourism sector supply chain management plays a significant
role that involves the transport, accommodation, food production and waste disposal.
Emergence of the new technology is becoming the major aspect for the business because of
this competition in the market is rapidly increasing. Thus for the tourism sector technologies like
Artificial intelligence, internet of things is accepted by the tourism organisation at wider extent.
Because of this they are able to provide the remarkable tourism experience to their customers.
Thus for the paradise travel lacking in technology is another issue which is causing barriers in

their success. Thus the project is based on providing the better solution to the client in order to
solve their issues and make them able to gain competitive advantage and to overcome the impact
of pandemic.
Role and responsibilities of a Research Analyst
According to Velte, (2020), consultants are those individuals which have expert
knowledge and therefore on the basis of their expertise provides their clients with expert advice
on a specific subject or field. The consultants are of different types and provide the guidance
with respect to the following fields i.e, Finance, Marketing, Operations, IT, strategic consultants
and many more. Also, there are several types of people that forms a consulting team which
includes a researcher, financial adviser, operations adviser, etc.
As per the views of Mason, and et.al (2021), the present case requires consultancy with
respect to Operations in their organization. There are several roles and responsibilities associated
with the position of researcher that helped in determining the key issues within the Paradise

determined that the major issue faced by the Paradise Travels were due to technological
advancement post covid and the supply chain issue as it has been difficult for the company to
source the necessary items that are required by them for other countries due to restrictions on
travelling from one nation to another.

Travels. It has been determined that due to the imposition of lockdown, the government also
formulated policies due to which there was a restriction on the travelling of people from one
nation to another. This has led to a decrease in the profitability of the Paradise Travels.
Economic Factors
It has been determined during Covid 19, many people lost their jobs due to which there
was a decrease reported in income level of the consumers (Simões, 2020. ). Also, the rate of
return on the investment also decreased which devastated the organizational structure of the
Paradise Travel.
Social Factors
The rise in the use of the social media and networking sites, the craze of travelling is
increasing rapidly within younger generation as they get influenced from their peers.
Technological Factors
In today’s world, the use of technology has become very essential for each and every

given the 4 weeks for finding the problem and to provide the best solutions of it.

In the first week, researching has been done to develop the insight view in client’s
problem. At initial the decision was taken to analyse the external factor impact over the business,

decision is that external impact over organisation has been identified but the failure in this as
only one side story has been identified as pestle does not give the information about the internal
factors. Thus plan is changed to reduce the budget for pestle analysis, thus the decision is made
to divert the budget into analysing the internal factor regarding this consultant has played a
significant role for researching the internal factor impact. Thus overall with the both micro and
macro factor analysis it helps in finding the problems with solutions to fix it properly.
Week 2
After identification of the problem which is mainly seen in technological and supply
chain, meeting with the client is done to discuss the cause so that they will be prepared for
addressing the issue. In this total expenses are also discussed and budget is carried out.
Therefore, successor of this decision is that there is a transparency between the client and
consultant team, as after conducting the research by understanding the external and internal
factor issues has been cleared, this decision is made to meet with the client to inform them about
the issues which they have been facing in successful running of their business. But the failure in
this process is it very time consuming and cost efficient as organising a professional meeting
takes more time as well as certain amount of money (Riadil, 2020). Thus based on this plan of
action has been changed, in which consultant has suggested other team members to take use of
the software such as zoom, video conferencing for the meeting. Thus with the help of this
decision meeting with the client has done successfully in this budget is also outlined to approach
with the strategies.
Week 3
In this week decision for suitable strategies have been prepared for fixing the problem. as
for the supply chain management optimising own inventory strategy is prepared and for
technology regarding problem technical training and investment on new AI and IOT technology
has been prepared. Successor point in this that all team member was agreed on this decision and
all have shared the same point regarding this decision. So successful strategy has been carried
out because of same view point, all suggested that with the use of the software and technology
client’s problem can be easily solved. But the failure in this it takes more time to research on the
relevant technology as which software and technology is efficient. Therefore because of this
circumstance the action has been changed in this consultant’s role in decision making is to

Week 4
In the last week plan for strategy implementation decision has been developed which is
final and delivered to the client. It is the last week where the final decision has been come out for
implementation. There is no such failure point in this week because all issues have been already
fixed in the previous weeks (Ngo and Vu,2020). Thus in this last decision has been made to
suggest the client to implement the strategy, in this consultant’s role was to completely guides
the client at each point of the strategy evaluation. For implementing the strategy meeting were
conducted to communicate with the team members and to understand the concept so it will help
in successful execution of the strategy. For that client is also suggested as to organise the training
programs to enhance the knowledge of employees so that they easily deal with the software and
technology.
Recommendations
On the basis of the above evaluation, it is found that client has serious problem in their
supply chain management and introduction of the technologies in their operations. Here are some
recommendations for the client are as follows:
Paradise travels required to review their strategy as it is important for them to have better
knowledgeable management who helps in strategy formation. It is obvious that if the
organisation has the better work force team then they are able to contribute towards the
organisational success. Therefore, for that it is suggested to paradise to analyse their leadership
style as it will help in forming the work culture where the individual’s needs are easily
addressed, this works as motivation and that can be easily seen in their effective work.
For the supply chain (SC) management organisation need to expand their SC visibility to
look into the logistics operations. As for this for, can proceed to implement inventory
management process which enables the workers to monitor or track the inventory stages as
receiving and stocked in warehouse to being finalised and picked or shipped to consumers. For
this they are recommended to use the IMS (inventory management software) that helps in real
time tracking of stocks (Baggio, Micera and Del Chiappa,2020). Another option is to automate
the supply chain process it helps in reducing the errors and often leads to increase the efficiency

that guides in saving money and time. For automation they are recommended to use tech enables
3PL (third party logistics) this technology will help in managing the outsources SC process
which are transportation and warehousing.
As for solving the technological problem it is foremost for the paradise travel to invest on
new technologies as it has great impact over the tourism. To focus on the artificial intelligence
and internet of things technology, as with the use of AI they can easily help in enhancing the
customer experience. AI assistants and chat bots easily allow the travellers to book their flights
and other accommodations. As consumers in the market always look for the services which are
convenient and fast, with the use of IOT paradise travel can easily proceed to give they
personalised experience to their customers. With IOT company can easily allow the travellers to
manage and have better control on the appliances from the centralised device another benefit
they can be get as the collection of data from IOT devices will enable the firm to develop the
targeted personalised marketing. As it will help them to take back their position in the market
which was affected by the pandemic effect. For this it is also necessary to organise the training
and development activities for the employees as it is found that firm don’t have the employees
who possessed better technical knowledge. Therefore, for that it is important to hire the
candidates who are efficient in technical knowledge and with the training and development it
will help in developing the technical knowledge in existing potential employees so that better
control over the technologies can be achieved.

From the above report it is concluded that better strategies and planning helps the businesses
to grow in the market, as consultancy firm plays a significant role in advising the client company
with appropriate solution. above report have discussed the case scenario of the company which is
badly impacted by the pandemic, for this consultancy firm have suggested the solution as firstly
they identified the issues which is found in supply chain and technical enhancement.
