Introduction
The needs, wants and motivation are some of the main factors affecting the conduct of

Identification of the ethical, environment, political or social or cultural issues that
may impact the success of the destination in attracting the visitors for long term
The environmental factors affecting the countries attractiveness includes- the coral reefs
and the beaches. The coral reefs and the beaches are however deteriorating because of tourist
activities and other types of human intervention (Ghosh & Siddique, 2017). This may negatively
impact the success of the destination in attracting tourist. There is much political stability in the
country and moreover all the local authorities are well trained for managing the emergency
situations which makes the country a safe destination option for the tourists. The cultural factors
includes low representation of the indigenous groups of the country. Therefore the success of the
destination can be improved by improving the cultural factors (Seetanah & Fauzel, 2019).

lack of attraction of visitors in the long-run. This is so because a country that is economically
developed can spend more on its infrastructure and growth and development which can actually
help in attracting tourist in the long term. The ethical issues of the country include child
exploitation by the tourists and travelers and there is lack of proper government regulations for
overcoming the same. These factors may negatively impact the country ability in attracting
tourists especially those tourists who are ethically aware.

strength and weaknesses
The competitor of Mauritius includes Maldives. Maldives is a small island in South Asia
that is situated in the Indian ocean. Maldives is known for its crystalline waters with its swing
palm trees and its beautiful view. It has got good weather throughout the year and that is how it
becomes an idyllic gateway (Lin & Nawijn, 2019). The island has got an amazing and beautiful
myriad of marine life, it provides for pampering and unrivalled luxury, it is like a beautiful
scenery in the paradise, it is often compared to paradise race against time. The island provides
for ultimate seclusion and privacy to its tourist and can provide for an unforgettable experience
of travelling. However it suffers from Political unrest.

prohibitions will help in maintaining the natural beauty of the country and therefore improving
the prosperity for the long term in the country (Farmaki, Khalilzadeh & Altinay, 2019). Another
recommendations is that the country does not present its indigenous cultures properly that can
actually act as a source of attraction for tourists. For instance, the country can represent different
art and dance forms of its indigenous culture for the purpose of attracting tourists. The
government also needs to formulate various regulations for overcoming the ethical issues that is
presently behind faced by the country.
