The following essay deals with the case study on the famous event held in Sydney,
Australia, the Vivid Sydney 2018. The first part of the essay deals with the major staging and the
presentation of the events that have been incorporated within the festival and tends to analyze the
staging of the various themes of the festival. The second part of the essay reflects on the matters
that pertain to the activities that are incorporated within the festival and nears the end with the
ways in which the concerned event might help the involved persons in the future days.
Part A
Concept
Vivid Sydney is one of the largest festivals of the ideas, lights and music that takes place
in Australia. The concerned event is known for the huge installations and the gripping music that
is available to the audience as well as the participants of the festival. The stage and the other
installations ideas that are presented to the audience are known to be very attractive and unique
thereby leading to the huge popularity of the show (Vividsydney.com 2018). The festival is
known for the various amounts of the light and the pathway that is adorned with the lights in
order to facilitate the nocturnal walk that takes place during the festival (Barbeler, Jetis and
Taylor 2017). The major attractions of the festival are the walks through the Royal Botanic
Garden which helps the concerned participants to know more about the natural nocturnal
environment and also entertain themselves by participating in the various events like the various
music festivals that are organized within the venue (Vividsydney.com 2018).
Staging
The staging of the event includes the specifically designed booths that help the audience
and the participants to entertain themselves by clicking pictures and take part in the activities that

might provide them with the certain experiences that might be available to them while they have
been taking part in the various events in the schedule. The other events that tend to attract the
audience to this festival include the animal light sculptures that might help the concerned
participants gather more knowledge about the ways in which the conservation of the wildlife
might be possible (Haeusler 2014). The event further includes the staging that helps the
participants to experience the marine ecosystem with the incorporation of water fountains, lights
and the lasers (Dwyer 2017). The sound systems installed in the various venues help the
participants of the event .to experience the sound of the waves and the other surroundings of the
concerned person thereby providing them with the feel of the various imagery and the sound
effects that have been a specialty as put forth by NASA (Vividsydney.com 2018).
Part B
The review of the event in discussion, Vivid Sydney, deals with the various notions of
themes, concepts, staging and the audience of the concerned event. The event is known to be the
largest festival of ideas, lights and music that is organized in the world. The event is being held
at the Luna Park, Sydney Australia and is known to be inclusive of the both the water events as
well as the events that are inclusive of the lighting and the sound effects that might have been
incorporated within the event (Vividsydney.com 2018). The event in discussion includes the
different concepts that result in the relationship between the staging and the thematic
presentation of the events that are included within the concerned festival.
