Introduction
The implementations of the mobile application for using the different services are gaining
popularity in large scale (Tsai et al. 2017). There are various advantages of using the mobile
application for the different services. The consumers prefer the use of the mobile application as it
enhances the flexibility of taking the service. One of the significant mobile applications of a
popular application software is use of VLC media player in mobile phone (Schöning et al. 2017).
VLC media player is a popular application which enables the users to see videos and play
different music files of different extension. The popularity of the VLC media player lies on the
fact that it supports maximum variety of multimedia file (Hsieh, Ke and Chiang 2016). The main
objective of this paper is to discuss the different aspects of the application of the VLC media
player in the smart phone and the problems and the issues regarding this context. The
recommendations for the improvement of the application have also been mentioned in the
discussion.

types of business models those can be followed. In case of VLC media player application the
B2C business model has been followed (Hoyos 2016). In B2C business model the business
organizations provide the services to the consumers. In this case, the VLC media player enables

2017). The application was mainly used in the computers. However, the popularity of the
application has made the developer of this application to think about launching the application in
