Tasmania's wilderness. Tasmania’s wilderness is Highly admirable places in the Australia

highways. Many visitors came here to spend their leisure time. There are many facilities which are

provided by Tasmania. Visitors can enjoy tacking, camping, dinner at the beach site. There are

many other facilities which are provided by Tasmania. The management wants to add new

technology to Tasmania to enhance their services. So, they added a VRT (voice recognition

technology). The management wants to enhance the services by providing VRT (voice recognition

technology) to the visitors so that the visitors get better services.

The management uses some project management tools such as Gantt chart, PERT and Milestone

for doing a detailed analysis of the project. The PERT and the Gantt chart are used so that all the

activities will perform on time. These tools are used to measure an exact time which is utilized by

each task. A proposal is prepared which includes the involved cost along with the resources. The

manager will define the responsibilities of each team member. HR requirements and financial

modelling are done to provide an estimated idea about the cost and the resources.

Introduction
The main motive of this report is to improve the services of Tasmania’s wilderness. A VRT (voice

recognition technology) is applied to improve the services. The existing technology of the

Tasmania wilderness is updated. This report defined the benefits of using VRT (voice recognition

technology) in Tasmania’s wilderness. The system is updated so that the number of tourists attracts

towards the Tasmania wilderness. It explains a detail introduction of the implementation of the

VRT (voice recognition technology) in the Tasmania wilderness. The system contains a voice

recognition software i.e. Dragon naturally speaking. The dragon naturally speaking application is

integrated with the existing system by taking some hypothesis and also justifies each and every

assumption. A project plan is formed which explain the importance of project management. Swot

analysis is used to manage the project efficiently.

VRT (voice recognition technology) in Tasmania’s wilderness
Tasmania’s wilderness is a most attractive place on the Australia highway. This tourist place is

careful for this study.
Many visitors came here to spend their leisure time. There are many facilities
which are provided by Tasmania. Visitors can enjoy tacking, camping, dinner at the beach site.

There are many other facilities which are provided by the Tasmania wilderness (
Wilpon, et. al.,
2015).

Assumptions
The VRT (voice recognition technology) is implemented in the
Tasmania’s wilderness to improve
the services. The existing technology is updated so that number of visitors came to visit the

Tasmania’s wilderness. Voice recognition provides many benefits as well as better services to the

visitors. In this updated system, the visitors only need to give a speech command. The visitors

provide a speech command to information search like a nearest hotel, cafe, hotel, place etc. for

introducing VRT (voice recognition technology) and to update the system following assumption is

made. The following assumptions are made which helps in the implementation of the voice

recognition application in the system (
Verizon, 2018).
Figure
1: Voice recognition software
Source: (IT Factory, 2016).

The voice recognition is used to identify the words in the spoken language. It is a biometric

technology the voice recognition is the technology that understands and received the words and

carries the spoken commands. It allows the visitors to interact with the system simply by speaking

languages. Following is the assumption made while implementing the voice technology:

The visitors just need to provide a voice command to search any information like tourist
place, hotel, cafe etc. The customer or tourist can easily find any information just by

providing a voice command. Many time, the visitors face issues while searching the

information so by introducing the VRT (voice recognition technology) in the system, this

issues are resolved (The State of Queensland, 2018).

6
Document Page
A language translator is used in the system as it helps to translate any language in the
visitor’s language. Many visitors form different country are cam to visit the place. So a

translator is installed to remove the language barrier. It converts forty plus languages. The

customer just provides a spoken command (
Trojanowska and Dostatni, 2017).
A training is provides to the staff member so that the team or staff member can understand
the importance of VRT (voice recognition technology) in the system. The training is

important because only the staff member will interact with the customer or visitors. So the

staff member will explain the importance of the VRT (voice recognition technology) to the

customers
(Samset and Volden, 2016).
When the visitors search any information that the system server will save all the
information. This helps to improve the services. When the user searches any information,

it’s all data will save. In this way, the system knows the user interest so according to the

user interest, the system will be updated.

The voice recognition provides a specific and clear information as compared to the web
browsing. For examples, user wants to search about Tasmania’s wilderness then the user

has to provide a command in speaking the language and the system recognizes only the

relevant information to the user.

The system will update based on the user feedback so it help to enhance the services.

Summary
A VRT (voice recognition technology) is implemented in the Tasmania’s wilderness. It overcomes

the issues which are faced during the daily life. It enhanced the performance and the services

provided by the Tasmania’s wilderness. The tourist can easily use this application just by giving a

voice command. Some assumptions are defined for proper implementation of the technology.

When a user searches any information, they need to speak words then the system provides the

relevant information to the user. The system provides exact and accurate information to the

customer. The user need not to take help after the assistance desk for the small-small query. This

system provides all information to the user in just a minute (Tourism Australia, 2018).

Importance of VRT (voice recognition technology):

Voice recognition is popular in the tourist and travels. Many organization, industries and individual

use this technology and this technology add many benefits to the system. The technology improves

services of the Tasmania’s wilderness website. It provides all the information whenever the user

wants. The system understands and interprets the user query and providers services to the user.

The advantages of using Dragon naturally speaking software in the system:

It saves the visitor’s time because when the user opens the system, the application opens
automatically.

The user has to provide only the specific command then the system will show information
relevant to the user query.

The system support forty plus language including English, Hindi, Italian, French etc. So
this helps to remove the language hurdle. It is a fast way to access any information.

The staff member explains the technical features to the visitors. It helps to improve the
services of the Tasmania’s wilderness.

Project management
The project management is necessary to progress a feasible schedule or plan for the actions and

defines roles and allocate resources to the team member. It is an essential phase to get the desired

output. It is necessary to a project management plan because it helps in to find different activities

and task connected to the VRT (voice recognition technology) in the Tasmania’s wilderness. It is a

setoff process steps from the early phase to the development, then implementing and supervisory

activity. The following phases are considered to implement VRT (voice recognition technology) in

the system. The following steps explain that how the project helps in overall management to

develop the voice recognition in the system.

Initiation:

This is one of the important stages of project planning as a project proposal is prepared for

explaining the timeframe, vision and deliverables. The expected level of quality of the output is

explained to the team and the stakeholders are provided the information connected to the budget

and the time period required for completing the project. Additionally, a project charter is also

prepared for describing the roles and responsibilities of each team member and a detailed

implementation plan. The objective of preparing the project charter is to explain the project

objectives and expected deliverables to the team. The stakeholders have also explained the

outcome of implementing the VRT (voice recognition technology) and the estimated revenues that

can be generated by using this technology
(Shahabi, et. al., 2014).
Planning:

The project planning involves drafting a detailed set of plans for completing the project activities

and these activities are divided among the team depending on the type of job role. The project

planning document enables the Project Manager to manage the costs and the risks involved during

the course of the project. The cost and resource plan help to organise and coordinate the activities

effectively and also to identify those areas in which the conflict may occur.

Preparing SWOT Analysis:

SWOT analysis is a management tool which is prepared for ascertaining the strengths and

weaknesses of the Tasman Wilderness for using voice recognition application in its operations.

The tool will also help to ascertain the opportunities that can be utilised for overcoming the threats

and weaknesses. The management will be able to know the actual position of the tourist destination

in relation to various competitors along with evaluating the competitors’ position in the market. All

these information can be used while developing business strategies as well as ascertaining the best

possible ways of increasing competitiveness and generate more revenues (
Beloborodko, et. al.,
2015).

The project budgeting is essential as it enables to identify the cost centres accurately and hence, the
Project Manager will be able to plan the resources that have to be procured. Also, the price at which

the materials can be procured can also be planned which helps to minimise the overall expenses

incurred towards implementation of the VRT (voice recognition technology) in the Tasman

Wilderness. The above figure illustrates the expected costs for implementing the project and it also

includes the salary that has to be paid to the team members. The above-mentioned expenses are

necessary in order to use Dragon Naturally Speaking application. For instance, the server room has

to be modified because the existing server capacity does not support the additional load. Hence, the

hardware and patch cable requirements have been specified for arriving at the actual expenses that

may have to be incurred for modifying the server. Similarly, the salary details of the team members

are provided depending on their job roles and number of hours required by the team members to

complete their assigned tasks (

The HR requirement has been illustrated in the above table by defining the educational
qualification and professional experience required for the project. The requirements have been

prescribed after evaluating the nature and type of job that has to be performed and the level of

expertise required for completing the project activities on time. Another requirement that has been

considered is the total number of years the team members have worked with Tasman Wilderness.

This is essential as they will have complete knowledge regarding the functioning of the

organisation and the actual requirement of the project. For instance, the professional expertise of

the Project Manager ensures that all the issues faced by the team are resolved quickly. Also, the

Project Manager will be able to design the alternative plans effectively because of the extensive

knowledge of both the organisation as well as the experience of handling the projects.

PERT Chart
PERT
is a management tool which is used for organising, coordinating, and scheduling the project
activities. The PERT is illustrated by a diagram containing the milestones in the project and the

tasks are inter-linked for indicating the corresponding activities that are to be performed for

achieving the milestones. With the help of PERT, the Project manager will be able to plan

supportive functions effectively which ensures completing the project on time
(Sharma, 2018).

Conclusion
From this project plan, it can be concluded that it is necessary for Tasman Wilderness to upgrade

the existing technology in order to enhance competitiveness. The use of latest technology enables

to enhance the visitors experience which helps to generate more revenues as the visitors will be

able to obtain the required information easily. The voice-based search eliminates all the drawbacks

of the traditional method of searching the details on the website or using the Help Desk facility.

Hence, it is important for the management to use Dragon Naturally Speaking application in its

operations.

The project planning is one of the important phases of the project management as the resources and

budgets are allocated as per the reports prepared during the planning stage. The Project Manager

prepares a detailed project plan so that the available resources can be utilised to the maximum

level. Also, the expertise of the team members has to be evaluated in order to complete the project

on time and without compromising on the quality of the output.

attract 90 visitors per day and the total revenue that can be generated by the online ticket sales is
expected at $204,750 per month. The other income sources include parking, cafeteria, and

accommodation from which the management will be able to earn more income. Since the

information will be available easily regarding the facilities that can be availed inside the park, more

revenues can be generated from camping and trekking activities (
Gao and Low, 2014).
As indicated in the above cost-benefit analysis, the project team consists of non-technical

members. The objective of including the non-technical team members is because they provide the

required assistance to manager to complete the project on time. The Business Analyst provides

details regarding the viability of implementing this project and the total revenues that can be

generated by using VRT (voice recognition technology) in the business. The Data Entry officer

maintains all the records and communication details which are required while planning. These

reports are valuable to Manager as they provide useful insights regarding the type of information

shared with the stakeholders. This enables to maintain proper communication channel within the

team which enhances the operational efficiencies (
Neuhofer, Buhalis, Ladkin, 2015).
The Managing Officer is one of the core team members whose job is to develop a communication

channel between the team members and stakeholders. The resources and materials required by the

team are procured with the help of Administrative officer which ensures that the right materials are

available with the team at the right time. The meetings are arranged by the Administrative officer

and the materials and other requirements are met. The trainer evaluates the training needs of the

employees and provides training for using Dragon Naturally Speaking application (
Mittal and
Singh, 2016).

Managing the Project
The project management involves identifying various tools and techniques which can be applied

for completing the planned project activities. The project management consists of managing and

controlling all the aspects of the project such as project planning, resource utilisation, and

monitoring all the activities performed by the team. It is vital to contol entire activities so that the

tasks can be performed without any hindrance and the project can be completed as per the

scheduled deadline. The project management also involves stakeholder management which

involves identifying the different needs and aspirations of each stakeholder and the type of

information that has to be communicated to each stakeholder (
Hunter, Fitzgerald and Barlow,
2014).

Manager can also take the help of various management tools such as Gantt chart, cost-benefit

analysis, and resource utilisation sheet for making important decisions. Preparing appropriate

Work Breakdown Structure enables to perform all the activities effectively and the time taken to

complete the tasks can also be ascertained. This is essential because the efficiency of the project

team can be ascertained by calculating the time taken to complete the tasks against originally

planned (
Hoy, 2018).
The following management areas have to be considered by the management while implementing

the planned project activities:

Cost Management
Communication Management
Quality Management
Project Integration Management
Stakeholder Management
Risk Management
Time Management

Monitoring, Review and Evaluation
The Project Manager has to implement appropriate control measures in order to monitor the

activities performed by the team members. This results in utilising the available resources to the

maximum extent and ensures completing the tasks as per the scheduled deadline. The Project

manager analyses various reports such as budget reports, cost sheets, time sheet, etc. for

ascertaining the actual level of the job completed by the team members (
Fresh Books, 2018).
The project manager has to follow the steps given below in order to complete the project

successfully:

Scheduling the activities:
In order to complete all the activities as per the scheduled deadline,
appropriate timetable has to be prepared by the Project Manager. This ensures completing each

task on time and helps to minimise the wastages. Planning the activities in-advance avoids last-

minute rush which enhances the efficiency of performing the activities (
Ackerman and Thompson,
2017).

Budgeting:
The budgets have to be prepared after considering the actual expenses incurred while
completing the project activities. The costing reports help to identify unnecessary expenses

resulting in minimising the overall costs involved in implementing the VRT (voice recognition

technology) in the Tasman Wilderness (
Marcelino-Sádaba, et. al., 2014).
Quality of the output:
The quality checks have to be performed at each stage for ensuring
achieving the overall objectives of implementing the new technology.

Developing channel of Communication:
Communication matrix has to be prepared and shared
with the team members such that, the team members are aware of their supervisors. The

supervisors are the first point of the contact and all the issues faced by the team members have to be

reported to the supervisors
(Mir and Pinnington, 2014).

Post-implementation Plan
The post-implementation plans have to be drafted as it helps to maintain the server and the devices

used in the Tasman Wilderness. The activities of the users have to be monitored in order to protect

the server and the application from getting corrupted. Hence, appropriate control measures have to

be implemented by the management such that the unauthorised use of data and the application can

be prevented. Another important aspect of is taking regular feedback from the visitors regarding

the performance of the application. This ensures that the needs and aspirations of the visitors can be

evaluated and Dragon Naturally Speaking application can be upgraded accordingly. The

management should develop an environment of continuous innovation and change in order to

sustain and grow in the competitive market scenario. Additionally, the server has to be updated

regularly so that the productivity of the employees can be increased as well as malicious activities

can be prevented (
Scheibe, et. al., 2017).
