Purpose of the project charter
Project charter is referred to as a document which is officially used to commence any
project. Project charter is implemented regardless of type, size of the projects and it formally
authorizes the project existence by providing a source reference for future exploration. It is
used to govern any project from the starting till completion. The project charter defines the
scope, time, cost, resources, stakeholders and milestones that are needed to be followed by
a project manager to accomplish any project. It is also recognized as a statement of work. In
order to implement this project within assigned time and budget this project charter is being
prepared.
Project summary
Yes chemist is referred to as a group of independent pharmacies that follows shared values
with common business philosophy. The company has many stores and each of them offers
health and beauty needs to their consumers along with pharmaceutical operations. The
company owners have identified different functional and operational risks. In order to
mitigate those risks, the company has decided to replace their existing accounting, inventory
management and HR system with SAP S/4HANA. Apart from that, the company has also
decided to hire professional procurement, finance, and HR analytics to increase business
efficiency with enhanced commercial revenue and global competitive advantages. In addition
to that, the company has also decided to implement Customer Relationship Management
system to strengthen the sales, services and marketing activities of Yes Chemist. In order to
implement the above mentioned system and functional activities Victoria University
Information Systems Consulting Company is contracted. It is determined that, the operations
will be successfully implemented within 6 months with a fixed cost of $150,000.
Project Requirements
The SAP S/4HANA and CRM system are implemented to increase the overall business
efficiency of Yes chemist. The issues of additional time consumptions, cost consumptions
and lack of security will be reduced. With successful completion of each SDLC project life
cycle phase review is required. Considering the invoice the SAP S/4HANA and CRM system
should be implemented by VUISC for Yes Chemist.
