1WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Auto-Parts Warehouse Management System:
The warehouse management system is actually an application related process which
helps the organizations to control the operations in the warehouse (Atieh et al., 2016). This
basically includes all the ingredients related movement that takes place within the warehouse.
I this case the main operations includes processes related picking, auditing and management
of the inventory. In this case a proper inventory management system need to be produced for
an auto parts business that run by Jack Greig and Daniel Cox. For this system vision
document for the system will be developed within this paper.
System Vision Document:
The main purpose of this system vision document is identification of the current
problem that the existing system is facing. With that capabilities that new system is having
will be elaborated and following that benefits of the implemented system will be discussed.
Problem: The existing auto parts warehouse management is currently facing some
specific types of issues due to which currently this system needs to be replaced with
some better warehouse management system. The main problem with the current
system is that it is not capable of handling of the highly dynamic procedures. This is
important aspect of the warehouse management system as it can help to move the
inventories that are stored within the warehouse with a peak efficiency while the cost
for the operations will be lowest (Richards, 2017). As this aspect of the current
warehouse management system is missing new type of auto parts warehouse
management system need to be developed of which functionality will be applicable
over all of the core warehouse processes which will turn the warehouse into a
competitive advantage.

Capabilities: The auto parts warehouse management system that will be implemented
in this case need to have some of the important capabilities so that it will be able to
provide some important competitive advantage over the others. This system must be
capable of performing various of functions which includes receiving of all the types
of orders regarding the auto parts. With that this also need to receive some additional
orders whenever there will be any type of business requirements. With that this new
auto parts warehouse management system must be capable of controlling the whole
inventory (Pane, Awangga & Azhari, 2018). Thus, all types of inventory that are
currently present in the auto parts warehouse can be controlled with this new
warehouse management system. The other capabilities that the new auto parts
warehouse management system must have are the processing of the order, picking of
the orders that has been made by the clients, load management of the order, system
regarding alerts, outbound documentation, packing of the orders and the crystal
reports. Proper type of wireless communication devices will be used in this case so
that the proposed system can be configured in a proper way. Benefits: Upon successful implementation of the new auto parts warehouse
management system there are several of benefits that will be gained in this case. Here,
for the development of the new system wireless communication devices will be used
and for communicating with those wireless devices a web based application will be
prepared which will run both on the smartphones and the personal computers.
Important technologies will be used for creating the web based application which
includes HTML5, AJAX and the cloud computing. The main benefits which will be
provided by this new auto parts warehouse management system is that all the
processes regarding the logistics will be improved in this case. In this aspect the
overall auto parts warehouse management system will also become efficient in the

management of the warehouse will be improved and that will help to increase the
morale of the employee. As management of the logistics of the will be improved in
this case, one of the main benefit that will be gained in this case is relationship with
the customers and supplier will be improved. The overall expenses that is required for
operating the whole warehouse will be reduced by the implantation of this warehouse
management system (Alyahya, Wang & Bennett, 2016). Another benefit of this type
of improved auto parts warehouse management system is that safety and the security
