INTRODUCTION
Effective managerial style is defined as collaborating employees on a common platform
so that to take out best out of them by managing them in effective manner. In order to run a
company in smooth and effective manner management is associated with playing prominent role
in the context of meeting employees obligations and enhancing bond within employees. Besides
this effective leadership style is also playing vital role in order to provide direction to employees
so that plans can be executed in easy manner and employees may stay motivated through out
their journey (Williams, 2015). This report is prepared on the basis of Damson Dane hotel which
is leisure house established at UK. They are laced with numerous amenities such as luxurious
spa, swimming pool and many more. This report is covering profile of general manager along
with team working theory which are helpful for the management in dealing with business
activities.

Critically analyse performance and effectiveness for the profile of General Manager of Damson
Dene Hotel
In order to enhance overall performance this is requisite that performance is analysed in
continuous manner so that team effectiveness can be enhanced and strategic objectives can be
met. In this context planning is known to be an effective term by which overall performance
within Damson Dene Hotel can be recognised by reviewing progress in which deep
enhancement of skill and knowledge can be seen. In this context there are certain issues which
general manager of hotel is facing such as miscommunication over employees, insufficient
management, rigid behaviour of staffs, demotivated workforce and many more (Naebe and et.
al., 2015). In order to deal with these problems manager Wayne can use various theories of
motivation those are elaborated below:
This theory is advantageous for rendering motivation within human and effective
managerial practices can be exerted so as to undertake needs existed. Under this effective models
are to be used by workforce so as to inhale motivation as this factor us an essential one so as to
manage human resource in an organisation in significant manner. On the other hand
organisational development criteria is required to be fulfilled by meeting self actualisation needs
and effectively communicating with employees (Moskalenko and Yevsieieva, 2015). For

attaining high level of reward employees are requisite to show their full calibre and potential in
order to understand properly manage overall goals of the business. This theory is associated with
hard and soft skills which are utilised by management which helps them to take effective
measures of supervision and guide employees in better way. This approach may lead in
providing punishment to employees in the absence of non performing obligation. In the context
of Damson Dene Hotel manager is lacking behind trust element over employees which leads
them to affect overall organisation in adverse manner. Besides this soft approach is defined as
undertaking lesser rigidity in rules and regulation which are having direct impact over creativity
of the organisation (Sennewald and Baillie, 2020). This enables the organisation to face high

There are some factors affecting these aspects are elaborated as under:
Theory X: This theory is associated with inclusion of those employees who are not liking
their jobs and work and they try to avoid their work which leads in delays and lesser focus. In
this context formal direction is required to be undertaken by employees those are deliberately
avoiding their work and this possibility is strongly existed in employees. In the context of
Damson Dene Hotel and their manager they are required to make effective and robust
management system and structure so that employees can be supervised in proper manner. On the
other hand manager is dealing with these complexities in prominent way so that to examine and
control external environment in prominent manner (Way, Jimmieson and Bordia, 2016). Theory
X states that the manager of Damson Dene Hotel is requisite to undertake robust structure of the
organisation so that they can supervise their employees without facing any major complexities.
Similarly manager is trying to supervise so that to have effective control inside and outside of the
organisation in which responsibilities and delegation within employees can be performed
significantly. Besides this general manager of Damson Dene Hotel is directing their employees
so that success can be achieved by overall workforce by motivating employees in such a way that
their retention and involvement can be boosted. There are some physiological factors which are
inherited within an organisation and the same are associated with providing prominent impact
over performance of organisation (Kim and Seong, 2015). This exhibits higher retention of
employees in the organisation along with satisfying their need hierarchy in significant manner.
