Abstract
In this era of advanced Mobile and wireless technology there is lot of research and advance
technologies are being prepared for supporting the advance requirements of the
telecommunications and advance wireless technological requirements. In this series the 5G
technology is very innovative technology and is going to bring the improvement in the current
communication technologies . The main motive of 5G is not only improving the mobile
technology but also bringing the more advanced features in the mobile technologies. 5G is still
under development but according to the mentioned features and its cellular phone requirements
the advance mobile phones as well advance communication channel over the internet is required
to be developed. Along with development of the 5G technology the extensive research is going on
to develop the more advanced supporting system for communication of 5G technology in near
future . The research is going on to develop the advance modems , antenna arrays , amplifiers ,
data converters etc.
Preparing the experimental 5G test bed is highly required for testing the performance of the
infrastructure prepared for the 5G technology. In this series the web based monitoring of an
experimental 5G Test bed will be presented. As it is expected that the 5G will bring the
reduction in the latency and increased reliability in the wireless communication it is highly
required to develop the effective support system too.
With the help of web based monitoring the testing of the infrastructure prepare for the 5G
communication will be done through the web application. It will provide effective tools for
monitoring the performance of the infrastructure prepared for the 5G. Here in this thesis the
presentation of the Experimental Test bed for 5G will be presented. Here along with detail of the
features of the proposed 5G technology , the requirements and concentrating points to be
considered while designing the infrastructure for proposed 5G will be presented. The result of
experimental analysis will be presented too. Then at the end the future scope and
recommendation will be presented.

Chapter -1 Introduction
1.0 Introduction
1.1 Background
Since last two decades the whole world has witnesses a great development in the field of
cellular communication technology leaping from the 2G Global system to the 4G Long
Term evolution –advance evolution system. Fifth generation (5G) mobile technology is the
next advance generation technology that is going to provide more advanced wireless
technology enabled devices. It will provide more optimal speed and communication
services for the wireless services. The main motive of advancement in this technology is to
receive the more bandwidth and lower latency. The through put of the communication
depends on the data transfer rate and latency depends on the processing speed of each node
that pass through it. For developing a new mobile technology the various factors such as
jitter , inter channel interference , connectivity , scalability , energy efficiency and its
compatibility with the legacy network system.
It is expected that 5G will be launched by the 2020 as it is still under the

process of development . It is proposed that 5G will combine the features of the Internet of
thing (IOT) to the intelligent sensors in their system. It will provide support in great level of
efficiency and will also help in cost cutting in the cellular data communication. It will also
provide the support in providing the seam less communication over the heterogeneous
network. Along with this it will provide host of advance features to its users for good
results.
Some key features that are proposed to be provided through the 5G technology are as
follows-
The 5G technology is aiming to provide high speed with large capacity of data
communication over the internet.
It will provide low latency with high through put over the network nodes.
It will support the interactive multimedia , voice , video, internet and other broad
band services.
Along with above it is aiming to provide the global access with the service
portability .
It will provide the capability of high level of tolerance capability.
5G will provide a high level capacity of broad casting capability up to Giga bit
level.
5G will provide the features in combination with the Artificial intelligence to
provide the advance features.
It will improvise the remote mangement system over the wireless system in the
easier way.
It will provide high uploading and down loading speed for the data.
It will provide high level of resolution for supporting the bi-directional large
bandwidth shaping.
It will not work on the monolithic approach and it will combine the features of the
2G, 3G , 4G , LTE –A , Wi-Fi , M2M etc.
Along with this it is aiming that 5G will support the other advance technologies such
as IOT (Internet of Thing ) , connected wearable’s , augmented reality and support
to immersive gaming system too.
It will facilitate the subscriber supervision tools for providing the quick action.
