The risk management is used for assessment of the project risks while developing a
new website for new HWE Accessories. It helps to determine the risk impact as well as
probability of occurrence of risks against each category of identified risks. From the
management perspective, the risk matrix is used to increase in risk visibility as well as assist
mitigation strategies to overcome with the development risks (Xia et al., 2018). Below is the
risk matrix:

that it should not cause any technical

4 Overrun of the
project cost
It is hard to determine the cost of the
project as it is difficult to estimate cost
for maintenance, development, value of
the owners and users at the project
initiation phase (Xia et al., 2018). Major Likely
There should conduct a proper cost
management so that all the project
tasks are managed properly including
its project expenses for all required
materials and resources.
5 Lack of
resource
availability
The resources those are involved in the
website development are having lack of
technical skills to design it as per the
project requirements. Moderate Likely
The technical staffs should require to
hire for the website development so
that it should design by considering
the project and client's needs.

Based on the above risk matrix table, it is concluded that there are two high project
risks: underestimation of time and resources and overrun of the project cost, which are
required to mitigate at high priority. Three medium project risks are scope creep, cross
platform compatibility and lack of resource availability, which are mitigated by mitigation
strategies against each category.
