Under the supervision of my senior registered nurse, I will be able to insert a nasogastric feeding
tube in the patient and then confirm it that the tube is correctly sited.

Under the supervision of my senior registered nurse, I will measure the tube length correctly by
holding the tube from the bridge of the nose across the face to the earlobe and then drawing the
tube down to the xiphisternum.

Under the supervision of my senior registered nurse, I would be able to perform the 6 rights of
medication administration that is identification of the patient, cross checking the current drug,
including correct dosages, correct route and appropriate timing to avoid medication errors ,
dosage errors and errors with patient identification. I ensured to take consent from the patient
before starting the procedure.
Objective 2
Under the supervision of my senior registered nurse, I would ensure that I prepare the patient for
the IV push medication, such as assessing the peripheral IV insertion site to find swelling,
redness, and bleeding and temperature difference followed by cleaning the PIV injection site by
an alcohol wipe, to ensure infection control and irritation of the skin.
