Strategies to Address Environmental Pollution and Improve Wellness

This presentation focuses on the issue of environmental pollution and its impact on wellness. It discusses the most affected populations, such as the elderly and those living in poverty, and offers recommendations and strategies to address the problem. The presentation highlights outdoor and indoor interventions, proper housing plans, and the need for healthcare facilities and awareness camps. WELLNESS

Introduction:
• Environmental pollution, one of the major global issue and a reason
behind the poor health condition and well being (Frumkin, 2016).
• The most effected population are the elderly people and the people
suffering from poverty and diseases like diabetes and asthma (Arnetz
etal., 2019).
• The aim is to offer recommendations and plan for the improvement of
the issue and strategies to implement the same.

Goal
• The goal is to prepare a proper strategic plan in order restore the
problem of poor housing in people living in poverty which is
enhancing the issue of population exposure.
• And also for the elderly people suffering due to the pollution effected
climate change.

Recommendations
• Outdoor interventions: to avoid the exposure to sever effect of environmental
pollution.
• Wearing facemask
• Avoid exposure to polluted regions and outdoor surroundings.
• Cleaning neighbouring environment (Simoni et al., 2015).
• Indoor interventions:
• Safe and clean fuel burning
• Forbidding smoking
• Proper ventilation
• Proper dietary supplement (Bentayeb et al., 2015).
• Proper housing plans for the poverty struck population
• Healthcare facility and awareness camps.

Implication challenges
• The social attitude and lifestyle plays a major role in implication of
strategies in environmental pollution control measure.
• It effects the implication of the strategies and plans (Edelman, Mandle
& Kudzma, 2017).
• Cultural values and life style becomes a hurdle in providing awareness
and knowledge regarding the issue and strategies.
• Orthodox attitude, lack of education and economic status are the key
aspects behind the difficulties faced while plan implementation.
• It will also require governmental support for which various steps are
needed to be followed (Yusif, Soar & Hafeez-Baig, 2016).

Strengths
• It is effective as it is cost effective and beneficial for elderly people to
avoid suffering from the environmental pollution.
• It will improve the health condition along with the living style of the
target population.
