Calculating the duration of the mentioned above path, the longest path covering all the
activities is path 1. The total duration of path 1 is 109 days.
The Gantt chart that was developed for this project schedule was done in MS project and
this chart shows the tasks that are to be done in the project in vertical axis and the time interval is
shown in the horizontal axis (Silva et al. 2016). The activities for developing the information
system was firstly added in MS project. After adding the activities in the project, work packages
were made which divided the project in to sub tasks and sub-activities. After making the work
packages, all the activities and sub-tasks were added made auto-scheduled (Robles 2018). The
resources of the project were added in the resource sheet along with their standard rate of
working.
As the resources were not available all the time for developing the EIS project, the
maximum availability of the project was adjusted as per their availability. The resources were
added in the Gantt chart as their work assigned in the project. The cost column in the project was
generated after adding up all the resources for the project. The total cost for completing the
project was $117,088.
