Workplace health and safety is the most critical aspect that is about the health and wellbeing
of employees while working in any organisation. In this aspect, the organisation should be
provided with repeated auditing and maintenance aspects so that all the aspects of WHS
could be resolved and effective work environment with safety and security could be
established. This report effectively mentions all these aspects related to the organisation GAB

Introduction
Workplace Health and Safety which is also referred as the occupational health and
safety is the measure that helps to protect the employees working in organisations so that any
critical condition or incident could be prevented [1]. The GAB New South Wales
organisation has also implemented these WHS regulations for the health and safety- security
related aspects of the employees. The primary aim of this report is to provide a detailed
analysis of the WHS framework and will mention of the regulations, code of practices, and
relevant act. Further, their legal and moral responsibilities while working in the organisation
would be mentioned.
Outline of WHS framework
The GAB NSW has Work Health and safety regulation 2011 implemented in the
organisation so that all the employees and their workplace hazard safety could be properly
addressed [2]. As per the Government of Queensland (2019), this regulation is able to
identify and limit all the critical aspects and hazardous conditions that could affect the health
and security of the employees while working in the organisation [3]. However, if any aspect
is missing then the act or the regulation allows the PCBU of the organisation so that they
could implement aspects for the growth and development of the new and modified WHS
policies and regulations [3]. Besides this, for the electrical safety of the employees, this
organisation implements the Electrical Safety Act 2002 and NSW WHS code of practice
guideline so that employees and their security could be ensured [1].
The duty holders and their duties
The duty holders that are associated with the workplace health and safety of GAB
NSW are general managers that hold the tag of primary duty of care. These professionals
ensure that all the workplace health and safety related aspects are properly implemented and

in case of any loophole, they could be able to manage the process without any fail. Susan
Bantley (GM of Queensland), to Sarah Jackson (GM of Human resources), as well as Al
Perez (GM of manufacturing department). Besides this, the Project Manager, the Human
Resource manager and the operations manager is responsible for the work place health and
safety aspects.
Top five risk of non-compliance with the WHS Act
The five risks that would affect the workplace health and safety of the employees and
the workers working in any organisation is associated with the non- compliance of the
organisation with the health and safety guidelines [2].
The first and most critical risk would be health of the workers as they would be
primarily affected with the critical conditions.
Secondly, they would not be able to maintain their professional performance as they
would not be able to feel safe at their work place and would avoid their working
responsibilities [4].
Their training and their practice of working with critical equipment would be at risk
as they would not be able to learn these processes effectively.
Their non- compliance to the WHS policies would lead the employee to be
unproductive for their entire career and they would not be able to improve their working
abilities effectively [3].
Finally, non- compliance t the WHS would not only affect the health and security
aspects of the employees but would also affect the reputation of the organisation and this
would effectively lead to deleterious effects for the organisation’s future [5].

Information about WHS of GAB NSW
For the up to date and sourced information of the WHS of the GAB organisation, the
company website could be assessed as well as the NSW Work Place Health and safety data
could also be assessed so that the complete regulation could be effectively analysed. Further,
if any non-compliance is observed within the GAB organisation, then the data of non-
compliance should be shared with the general managers, the human resource managers and
the operations department so that they could take effective step in maintaining the process
[3].
Protective action that any business can take and GAB can implement
Monthly, weekly and quarter yearly assessment should be conducted in the GAB
organisation so that the state of the workplace health and safety act and the degree of the
employees complying with the regulations could be effectively identified. Hence, this
organisation should also implement these aspects so that people could be provided with
effective abilities to understand the importance of this process and their WHS could be
effectively understood [1].
Conclusion
While concluding this paper, it should be mentioned that the work place health and
safety is the aspect which should be properly addressed and implemented in every
organisation as it deals with the safety and security of the employees working in these
organisations. This report discusses about the WHS of GAB NSW and then through proper
analysis of the risk of non- compliance, the people with primary duty of care and other
critical aspects, mentions the way the WHS could be improved.

Recommendations
GAB NSW could implement the WHS aspects effectively and should also implement
the audit process so that the loopholes present in the process could be easily understood and
modifications could be implemented.
