Thesis statement – Procrastinating is positive or negative.INTRODUCTIONProcrastinating term refers to the delay, particularly that require immediate attention. Itthe behaviour of putt off activities or work to be executed later or in the future. This a very badhabit as this can have negative impact or influence on individual career growth or personaldevelopment. In present scenario student postponed their work just because they feel boring andunpleasant to do that work (Semprebon,Amaro and Beuren, 2017)All procrastination is delayedbut all delays are not procrastination. The term Procrastinating refers to the special form ofpostponement examples of such types of delays are irrational.The essay has focus on understanding the concept of Procrastination and analysing thewhether procrastination is a positive or negative behaviour.MAIN BODYProcrastinating is considered as a bad habit of delaying in work and positioning of workfor long period intentionally without any justifiable reason. Many people experienceprocrastination in their day to day life and they do not considered this as a problem until andunless it has effect on individual ability to work and it develops psychological as well as physicaldiscomfort It has been observed procrastination technique is adopted by college student.Procrastination can be a serious problem. It can have both internal well as external consequence.Internal effects include irritation, despair, regret, emotional breakdown, demotivation and selfblame. Example of External consequences are impaired academic, poor work presentation, lossof opportunities and it has great impact on relationship as well. It is considered as mostdestructive habit which have great influence and impact on person life and career (Meier, A.,Reinecke, L. and Meltzer, C.E., 2017) The argument related to the whether procrastinating is good or bad. Some peopleconsider procrastinating as a bad habit as this may have great effect on individual performanceand career growth. Many of the adult people stated that chronically procrastinate. They believethat procrastination can offer a temporary break from upcoming deadline but the out cumproduced by procrastinate is uniformly negative.
