INTRODUCTION
Professional development is defined as the procedure which aids to the development of
learning for the purpose of maintaining proper certificates such as attending conferences, formal
course work along with becoming a part of learning opportunities. This process aids to bringing
the improvement in skills of individual and gaining the higher growth opportunities related to
career growth. The process of professional development is being used by the individual in order
to enhance the opportunities related to their professional actions. The chosen area of specialism
for this report is teacher or lecturer of marketing (Afdal and Afdal, 2019). This report include the
concept of professionalism and dual professionalism, values influencing my practice, influence
of social, political and economic factors on education policy, impact of current educational
policies on curriculum, role of stakeholders and external bodies, impact of accountability of
stakeholders and external bodies, importance of working in partnership with employers and other
stakeholders, impact of being accountable to stakeholders and external bodies on curriculum
design, delivery and assessment. In addition to this, it also deals with the aspects of policies,
codes and guidelines, impact of expectations and requirements on curriculum practices. The last
task of the respective report include quality improvement and quality assurance, functions of self
assessment and self evaluation, learning programme along with the areas of improvement in
learning programme.
TASK 1
1.1 Define the concept of professionalism and dual professionalism in education and training
Professionalism is the most important concept in the field of education and training as it
leads to the process of enhancing the skills and abilities in the individual and making them
professional. In the industry of education, the skills and knowledge of teachers leads to bringing
professionalism in the teachers. Such skills and knowledge are useful for the teachers as it aids to
deliver the lectures and sessions properly. In order to become the professional and bringing
professionalism in the task, teacher should consider all values which teaching students. Values
are most essential aspect for the teachers to consider as it aids to introducing the effectiveness
and efficiency in the teaching procedure (Professionalism, 2022). Some of values of teacher are
honesty, motivation and integrity. In addition to this, the consideration of numerous attributes is
also essential for the teachers. Some of attributes include collaboration, communication skills,

adaptability, patience, empathy, listening and many others. All of these skills values and
attributes help the teachers in bringing professionalism in their functions and deliver the lectures
in an effective and efficient manner.
The concept of dual professionalism leads to the involvement of other skills which are
consider as the additional skills to the relevant knowledge. In order to become the expertise in
any particular field or industry, it is crucial to have some extra specific skills and knowledge
along with the required essential skills (Esmond and Wood, 2018). In the industry of training and
education, it is crucial for the teachers to have several specific skills which aids to providing the
best possible knowledge to the educators or learners. This concept help the students in gaining
the relevant knowledge along with enhancing some extra skills which help them in becoming
professional in their own field of interest. A good teacher can be proved only in the case of
availability of advance skills along with the relevant knowledge of selected field. The teacher
with the relevant knowledge and skills can only deliver the best quality of lectures to their pupils.
When the advance skills get combined with the educational qualification of the teacher, it result
in bringing the perfection in the operations which are being performed by the teachers. If a
teacher perform their functions effectively, it result in providing the best quality of knowledge to
the students and it is the basic concept of dual professionalism. All the students can get the
higher benefit in their education because of the dual professionalism of their teachers. The
presence of dual professionalism in teachers can also be analysed through the dressing sense. In
simple words, it can be said that the concept of dual professionalism state the overall
development of teachers. It is the collection of both subjective knowledge as well as skills which
aids to the development of confidence of delivering lectures or sessions.
1.2 Explain ways in which own professional values influence own practice in an area of
specialism.
My area of specialisation is marketing. I develop my interest in the field of marketing
because of qualification and now I want to develop my career by becoming a good and
experienced teacher of lecturer of marketing. It has been found as essential for the me to gather
all the necessary knowledge and qualification in order to perform the functions of teacher of
marketing in an effective and efficient manner. I have deep knowledge of marketing field and
also I have huge interest in the same. It is the reason behind the selection of marketing
specialisation area. While performing the role of teacher, it is crucial for me to have proper

are available in the environment. Several of changes are being introduced in the educational
policies and the reason behind these changes are the external factors such as political, social and
economical. Mainly the policies developed by the government influence the educational policies
of United Kingdom. In addition to this, several of other factors available in the external
environment highly influence the policies as well. Below mentioned is the brief description of
the factors which bring changes in the policies of education:

Political factors: It involve all those policies which are majorly developed through the
side of government of UK related to the education. Government legislation, political
ideology and community regeneration are the several political factors which directly
effect the educational policies. It also bring the changes in the manner of education
delivery to the students. Difference in the educational system may raise because of
the changes or difference in the rules and regulations of several areas. It can be better
understand through an example stating that the curriculum and admission criteria of
two cities Wales and London are different. Social Factors: The viewpoint of society also influence the education policies. It
involve several factors which include engaging under represented groups, immigration
and many more. These are the several components which highly support the local
initiatives which influence the education system and policies (Leitner, Ebner, and
Ebner, 2019). All the students in the classroom are from different locations and at the
time of studies, they are also treated as different. After treating them different, they have
right to get equal opportunities.
Economic factor: It refers to the factors which are related to the economic components
such as tax base variations, cost escalation, economics of home of student and many
more. In order to get the education, the students are required to pay money. The teachers
want finances in order to perform their functions in an effective and efficient manner. It
is necessary for the education industry, that they should formulate the education policies
as per the raise in the prices on the basis of rate of inflation.

other social factor which aids the students in treating equally as the other students are. The
teachers have to do focus on all the above mentioned factors while doing the development of

In education and training stakeholder has important role. It involves all those people in
stakeholders who have interest in education & training. In field of education & training the major

also consider as external stakeholder which have indirect influence on institution. The decision
making is affected by internal & external stakeholder of organisation. Stakeholders has role in
developing expertise in teachers as to improve capability while delivering educational
information. The students talent is managed by the stakeholders. The stakeholders are
responsible to ensures standards at minimum level by creating best practices.

The organisation decision making is improved as different people are associated to
organisation which also helps in reducing complexities that can be face in education & training.
Different collaboration is needed in organisation practices so that effectiveness of operations can
be improved. To work in partnership with employees and other stakeholder helps in providing
more consistent and comprehensive support, enables holistic service provision for learners. The
working in partnership helps in effectively working with specific individual needs and ensures to
met adequately along with assist in generating new ideas and initiatives. The agencies observe
and provide feedback on service delivery (Haydn, and Stephen, 2021). For the learners it is
ensure that support is flexible. It becomes important to work with regulatory bodies for ensuring
that service can continue and quality of service is appropriate, consistent and high. The working
with these groups helps in clarifying acceptable standards that leads to raise benchmark in
quality of service delivery. To work in partnership with employers is important as they provide
work based placements which provides learners an relevant work experience that will increase

in developing various practices for improving teaching & training process which is implemented

delivery and assessment in own area of specialism.
Being accountable to stakeholder and external bodies puts significant impact on
curriculum design, delivery and assessment of marketing. The individual requirements of learner
helps in shaping design & delivery of course. By the level of course assessment can also be
determined by me. The curriculum is also influence by the regulatory bodies. Stakeholder and
external bodies are consider as important part of organisation which affects operations and
internal structure of organisation. In course of marketing, it is crucial for person to be
accountable to stakeholder and other external bodies. Marketing teacher offers flexibility in
learning to students. I will implement changes in curriculum of marketing which is used by me to
provide education to students. The design of curriculum can be affected by the management and
other stakeholders. It is my responsibility to meet the standards (Knapper, and Cropley, 2021). I
need stakeholder for my responsibility as I am capable to perform by job of teacher in marketing

teacher of marketing, it is my responsibility to develop and implement classes in effective

within the educational institute. This helps them in setting up the examples in front of the
students. Within the United Kingdom the present policies of educational institute comprise the
objective of reducing the inequalities among the students. Along with this, the educational
system of United Kingdom also paid focus on the filling the gaps support the findings of school
as per the policies.
According to the guidelines which is given by the higher educational authorities of UK, it
is very crucial for a marketing teacher to follow all the legal guidelines to reduce the level of
conflicts which are taking place within the institute. These guidelines basically influence the
principles that have to be followed by the local authorities so that they comply with the legal
regulations. This secure the educational institute from facing all the any type pf legal
complexities in their operations. Moreover, to this the direction about the assessment is majorly

in improving the performance of the institute, from which some of them discussed below: -

unique which helps me out in proper deliver of the knowledge to the students. Along with this I
am also responsible for providing assistance to the students in making their all marketing
projects in proper manner. The guidance which is provided by me make the students able to
understand whole concept of marketing. Through my guidance, the students are able to attain a
successful position their life and perform all the tasks in a very effective manner. My area of

teaching is marketing in which I have to teach my students about marketing management within
the classroom in proper manner so that they can effectively understood the whole lesson easily.
In addition to this, the organisational needs within the area of teaching plays a very
crucial role. In the job role of marketing teacher, I have to guide the students about the whole
concept of marketing and then assign them homework. I am also responsible for taking their test
and grade them on the basis of their knowledge. If the students fail in attending the practical
project properly because of the less understanding about the concept of marketing, then this
directly blamed on the way to teaching and guidance of teacher.

To improve the quality, effective training and development programme are conducted by the
present business organisation on monthly. This not only assist in improving the skills as well as
competencies of a teachers but also make them able to deliver the proper knowledge to the
students in effective manner(Powers, Herron and Pagel, 2019).

The external consultant visited the school in which I am working twice in a year and
review all the programmes results of the courses. The visitors paid more focus on the
performance of the students and also on their grading. Along with this, they also paid focus on

of four steps and helps in modifying the curriculum and educational programme. The main
function of the quality cycle is to find, analyse, implement and monitor the actions which helps
in improving the quality of actions in proper manner.
Self-assessment helps in reviewing the success of learning on the basis of their
knowledge along with their working within the organization. In addition to this, this also assist in
identifying the areas of mistake and in which an individual is lacking off. Due to this
performance can be improved effectively. The main function of the self-assessment in my
collage is continuous improvement. It is very important for the learner to carry out the self-
assessment on regular basis in order to check the progress.
Self-evaluation is being considered as one of the most important aspect which helps in
analysing the performance in a very effective manner within the workplace(Lyons, 2019). The

various programs properly in order to provide the students best quality knowledge. It is strongly
recommended that development and training is very essential for maintaining the quality in a
organisation. The program which is suggested will be very crucial in providing proper training to
all the staff members in regard to the objective value and operational management. All this will
help in enhancing the existing operational value of the organisation and also help the students in
acquiring useful and quality information for their future(Webb and McQuaid, 2018).
5.4 Identify areas for improvement in the learning programme taking account of the
outcomes of evaluation
The learning program mentioned above is helpful in accomplishing quality standards in a
learning organisation. There are different areas which have the requirement to improve such as
communication as it aids in conveying lessons to the students so that it is in proper manner and
graspable. Also with the rate of training given to faculty member will increase from monthly to
weekly training. This will help in higher development and growth in systematic manner.
Therefore, discussion can be increased to get the better quality and increase in the management
quality by the help of this training programme(Irvine and Irvine, 2018).
Conclusion from the above study it can be said that professionalism plays a very crucial part in
education and training organisation as it allows a person to behave in a formal manner in this
sector. In context to this it is determine that the educational guideline and policies and practices
impacts on shapes their educational values that assist in conveying right information to a student
that helps in enhancing their instructional performance and practices. This analysis that the
education system of United Kingdom mainly deals with a tripartite system and also new labour
respectively that has an effect on the cultural environment and political environment and the
social aspect as well there are so many and different stakeholders of schools and the educational
sector teacher’s parent’s student’s governments bodies they also help in enhancing and

stakeholders helps in conveying appropriate value by the aid of which they are able to meet their
target moreover quality improvements is also undertaken as important pin the centres(Cirocki
and Farrell, 2019)(PMaity, 2019).
