WINDOWS SERVER 2016 DEPLOYMENT2 Abstract WMW is a newly established firm which specializes in advertising. The firm plans to implement core IT services but currently, they do not have an IT staff. The organization is planning to have ninety employees where nine employees will be the executive. The organization plan to have four departments which are Sales and Accounts department with fifteen employees, the human resource and Finance with twelve employees, the IT department with five employees, and creative, media, and the production department with forty-nine employees. In addition, the organization plans to be located in two different locations that are in New York and Los Angeles. The organization has already networked the two offices with a plan to have a secure tunnel which will use IPSec to link the two locations. This raises the need to have a windows server in place to enables sharing of the different services and resources. In addition, with windows server, it will enable the organization network infrastructure to remain secure, reliable, and to be manageable. Introduction Most of the organizations are relying heavily on the current technology. This means that WMW needs to have a network infrastructure so that they can remain competitive and to do it they need to implement windows server 2016. This paper will highlight the current features of windows server 2016 and how it can be deployed(Savill, 2017). New Features of Windows server 2016 Microsoft has continued to put more effort in developing server 2016. One of the features is docker integration and windows server containers. This feature will allow WMW to abstract services and applications from the underlying Operating System. Another feature is the Nano server. This feature enables an organization to boast over 90 percent of the smaller installation

Deployment and Server Editions WMW Company can only benefit from their network by only making it fault tolerance, scalable, and consistent. Before deploying Windows server 2016, there are a lot of factors that an organization needs to consider these are; the number of users and the programs which to be used by the organization. Other basic requirements are a processor of 1.4 GHz with a 64-bit processor. In addition, the computer needs to operate on 10/100/1000baseT Ethernet adapter. In addition, the seven servers located in LA need to have datacenter edition; this is because the edition is optimized for large-scale virtualization. WMW need to note that one server located in LA need to have an unlimited number of windows server instances. The New York location need to implement the standard edition since it has the smallest number of users. WMW needs to note that all the servers need to use what Microsoft refers to as Per Cole License.

AD feature is included in Windows server 2016 as set services and processes. The feature authorizes and authenticates all users within the organization in a windows domain type to assign and enforce security policies in all the organization computers(Dauti, 2017). Whenan AD is installed on windows server 2016 some of the services such as DNS client, windows Time, workstation, intersite messaging, and TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper. In addition, in windows server 2016, the AD is like an umbrella title for identity-related services. WMW organization need to have two domain controllers each for the two locations. Since LA has the highest number of clients it should have the main domain controller whereas that in New York it should have the backup domain controller. The main objective of the Domain Name System is translating domain names to Internet Protocol address. A DNS is also mandated in maintaining domain names. As indicated in the first part of this paper, WMW is intended to have ninety computer users meaning that the organization need to have 5 Domain Name System servers, two ought to be located in New York since it will have the lowest number of users while three in Los Angeles as it will have the highest number of users. WMW need to configure all the DNS servers in both locations for internal and external. This is done so as to maintain security. The external DNS ought to have names such as WMWLA.org.net and WNWNewYork.open.net(Thomas, 2016). On the other hand, DHCP will enable the organization to automatically assign a certain user computer to a certain IP address. There are about six steps which are; 1.Turning on a certain computer with a certain DHCP client 2.DCHP client computer directs the broadcast request which is either DISCOVER or DCHPDISCOVER 3.The organization router located between the firewall re-directing either of packets to DHCP server 4.Receiving any of the two packets by the organizational server which is always based on availability of the set server and the usage policies 5.The organizational server then sending back DHCPOFFER packet or the OFFER packet with the organization address information

WMW need to have three printer services at the LA location and two in the New York location. In addition, WMW needs to deploy the use of NTFS this increase security measures by ensuring that unauthorized users do not access the organization programs or applications. Lastly, WMW needs to implement file manager to assist in managing the organization file server(Krause, 2017).
