WIRELESS AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION
1
Introduction
Wireless mobile communication is an advanced technology which is increased
rapidly in the last few years and it is estimated that in this modern generation around
70% of people worldwide are using wireless technologies. The main objective of this
report is to describe wireless mobile communication and the role of wireless technology
in a communication system. This report is explaining wireless mobile communication
technology and their advantages and disadvantages (Larsson, Edfors, Tufvesson, &
Marzetta, 2014).
Discussion
Why Wireless communication is used
Wireless communication is an advanced technology which reduces the
drawbacks of wired technology and it provides a platform to transfer data or
information from one location to another. The main advantage of this modern
technology is that it does not require any electric cable and this process can be used for
long-distance communication. In last few years many mobile organizations use this
technology for mobile communication because this technology changed the way of
communication and can be used for long distance communication (Osseiran, Boccardi,
Braun, Kusume, Marsch, Maternia, & Tullberg, 2014).
What is wireless and mobile communication?
Wireless communication is defined as a technology that provides communication
between two users without using an electric cable. Wireless mobile communication
means mobile communication through wireless technology and it is more efficient
rather than wired technology. The main benefit of this technology is that it can be used
for long distance communication and it is the very fast process rather than wired
communication (Rappaport, MacCartney, Samimi, & Sun, 2015).
Where wireless and mobile communication is used
The most common application of wireless technology is that wireless mobile
communication and this advanced technology provide a platform where users can
transfer and receives data from one location to another without using any wires. This

technology is used in many organizations, industries, and in banking sectors to transfer
information from one person to another. In this modern generation, the rate of wireless
communication is increasing rapidly this technology provides better services and also
increase data transfer speed (Wang, Haider, Gao, You, Yang, Yuan, & Hepsaydir, 2014).
Who can used wireless communication
Through wireless mobile communication technology, any person can transfer
and receive information or data from one location to another. This advanced technology
is usable for all organizations, industries and banking sectors because this technology
avoids many security risks and provide the better output at the receiver. There are
many telecom industries that are using this technology for communication purpose and
also provide wireless service and many mobile communication organizations are using
this technology to improve communication systems.
When wireless communication is used
This advanced technology is used when any person wants to transfer data or
information from one location to another and any person wants to communicate with
another person. Wireless technology is the latest version of wired technology because
wired technology cannot be sued for long distance communication but this technology
can be used for long distance and it improves the overall efficiency of the
communication system. The most common application of this technology is in military
and satellite communication which means in military many soldiers communicate with
their seniors by wireless technology.
Advantages of wireless mobile communication
Wireless mobile communication technology is an advanced version of wired
technology which avoids the drawbacks of wired technology and there are many
advantages of this technology which are following
It is very flexible
High mobility
More efficient
Lower cost
Easy to install

Can be used for long distance communication (Wu, Wang, & Youn, 2014).
Disadvantages of wireless mobile communication
There are several disadvantages of wireless mobile communication which are
following
This technology is very complex
Maintenance cost is very high
Limited range
Dependability
It is less secure rather than wired technology
It is slow in speed as compared to wired technology
Very difficult to setup (Yang, Wang, Geraci, Elkashlan, Yuan, & Di 2015).
Recommendation
Mobile communication is one of the most common applications of wireless
technology and it is estimated that the rate of wireless technology is increasing rapidly
in the last few years. There are a few drawbacks to this advanced technology which can
be reduced by improving the efficiency of digital devices, a mobile organization can
improve their communication system through which the problem of speed can be
resolved. If mobile communication organization can improve security systems in
mobiles than the problem of security risks can be resolved in a wireless communication
system.
Conclusion
In this modern generation, the use of wireless mobile communication is
increasing day by day and the main reason for this increment is an efficiency that means
this technology is more efficient rather than wired. This report explained wireless
mobile communication, the role of wireless technology in mobile communication and
their advantages and disadvantages. Drawbacks of this technology can be resolved if
mobile organization improver security systems and efficiency.
