Introduction
Packet sniffer is a software tracks and analyzes outbound and inbound packets. In
addition, packet sniffer are used to monitor network traffic and intercepting packets as well as
recording the path taken by the packets. Packet sniffers are also used to monitor the traffic of
servers and also monitoring routers and switches. The information gathered usually helps the IT
administrators to fix network errors and troubleshooting network errors.
Report outline
This paper list two WLAN sniffing tools; the paper will contain two parts the first will
show critically analyze the features of each of the tools where the paper will explain the level of
complexity of each of the tools. In addition, a comparison model in functionalities will be
highlighted in form of a table. The second part will highlight the various types of wireless
technologies.

Fiddler WLAN sniffing tool
Level of complexity
Fiddler is one of WLAN tools which is made for packet sniffing. To install the WLAN
tool one needs to first download the tool from fiddler website. After one can then continue to
install the tool as shown by the figure below
