The research is made on the topic ‘The important role of woman entrepreneurship in
development of Indian economy’. The research focuses on the vital areas which influence the
role of women entrepreneurship in development of Indian economy. Entrepreneurship is
attaining importance in modern era which is a global phenomenon. As per Chavan and Murkute,
(2016), Entrepreneurship development is beneficiary for the developed countries. On the other
hand, the role of entrepreneur has changed in developing countries such as India in recent past.
It is the process of encouraging self-employment. It has been found that entrepreneurship is not a
male privilege. It has been evidenced by Brahmbhatt, (n.d.), that women entrepreneurship has
attained momentum in the last three decades with amplify in the number of women endeavour
and their substantive involvement to the development of the economy in the country.
As per Pal, (2016), women entrepreneur has to face various challenges in the industry such as
lack of wealth, socio-cultural barriers, lack of support from family and lack of capital. It has been
found that 15.1 percent of women corporate in transportation and warehousing industry, 13.5
percent of women corporate in Mining and oil and gas removal, 10 percent of women corporate
in Administrative support and waste management remediation service (Pal, 2016). Women have
to face several challenges because people around her feel that the women should be obliged
towards her duties of handling her families. However, government of India has implemented
various positive steps to bring improvement in the policies which encourage to women
entrepreneurship in India.

of responsibilities of family and business, less risk bearing capacity, illiteracy among rural

make the random sampling method which is used in the making of random selection of
participants. Random sampling method is an effective method that gives the equivalent
opportunity to get select in the research. Non-probability sampling strategy is the method that
does not give chance everyone to being selected. Random sampling technique is chosen for this
research (Nesto and Schutt, 2014).
3.5 Data Analysis
Data analysis methods are included the thematic/content analysis, statistical analysis,
conversational analysis and disclosure analysis which helps to analyse the collected data.
Statistical data is being used to gather the information in which MS-Excel software is utilized to
represent the data in graphs and tables to enhance the better understanding about the responses
and findings about the role of women entrepreneur in the economic development of India.
3.6 Challenges and Limitations
Research limitations affect the entire researcher and it cannot be controlled by researcher. It is
necessary for the research to mention the restraints so that the researcher can get know about the
limitations. The impact of limitations limits the development of the study whether it is controlled
by researcher or not (Wilson, 2016). Lack of time is one of the big limitations for this research.

It can be concluded that the role of women entrepreneur in India is emphasizing due to support
of Government. The above discussion discloses that though women entrepreneurs are attaining
appreciation recently, still there is a long way to move. It is hard to make transmission from
homemaker to women entrepreneur but there is various steps are initiated by government to
support women in India. Various research methods have been used to gather the information
about the topic. There are number of challenges has to face by women entrepreneur but these can
be reduced by applying training and coaching method.
