Ethics and employability are considered as the
main aspect for the organisations and as well as for
the economy. It is very important that the
organisation follow a ethics and regulate its policies
from time to time. The women right and gender
inequality is the main concerns which is arising day
by day. The women are facing several issues to to
the gender inequality in the workplace and many
other areas. In many countries women does not get
the equal education has compared to man. This
report will include the causes of the problem in
gender inequality and their solutions. Also, how
Marks and Spencer can contribute in solving
gender inequality.
Over the years the world has coming closer in achieving gender
equality. But still there are many problems which the women are
facing and there is still gender inequality at different areas
including education, workplace etc. Here are some4 causes of
women rights and gender inequality discussed:
Low pay- This caused has been arsed years before and the
tradition is going on. The women working anywhere are been paid
less than the men. This is the biggest problem which is been
identified but the society has believed in a myth that the women
are less effective and efficient in their work. That the reason they
are paid less amount. But this is the cause of the gender
inequality. The efficiency of the work doesn't depend on the
gender. The discrimination leads in lower income for the women.
Women also taken on primarily responsibility for unpaid labor,
where the women participate in the paid workforce, they need to
do extra work which is never identified and nor appreciated and
paid financially.
Racism- The main ethnic minorities in the United Kingdom have
family backgrounds in Commonwealth countries such the Indian
sub-continent, the West Indies and parts of Africa. Most non-
white Britons were born in this country. Despite the race relations
act, the non-white citizens still confront the discrimination. From
the statistics it is observed that 10.3 percent of minorities worked
in the top professional jobs compared to the 9.8 percent of white
