INTRODUCTION
Work based learning is real life learning work experiences where technical and educational
skills are apply on the live projects to develop the employability skills (What Is Work-Based
Learning?, 2021). This report is based upon a case study of B Clark Engineering that was
established in 2000, is a SME specialised MOT firm. It is managed by MOT firm and owned by
a family. They expanded their business by opening new branches outside and inside London.
They use various strategies to expand their business, B Clark retains their desire and name
continues as B Clark. They hire several trainees to train the key staff and their education and
training system is very successful. Now a day’s Company rely on his two sons Jay and Samir
who is in the key management team and his daughter Mrs Sara is the head of training and
coaching department. In this report root cause of the problem was identify and plan to overcome
from the problems and use my roles and responsibilities and by skills to understand the situation
of the company and monitor and evaluate underperforming colleague.
Main Body
Identify root causes of the current situation and what went wrong and plan according to it.
The performance of the employees/ trainees was getting low. They are showing lack of
efforts in performing their work. Mr Sabid performance was also getting low who was a
prominent leader few months before (MacDonald and et.al, 2020). Employees are coming late in
the office and they are getting sick. Customer complaints are increasing as employees are not
taking any efforts to perform their work and no one taking any concern to solve the problems of
customers and made good relations with them. The work quality of the organisation was
declining day by day. As the customers complaints are increasing the organisation name was also
decreasing as their customers are not satisfied with the work performance of the company.
As a member of the trainee team I noticed that the root cause of this entire problem was Mr
Sabid who was working well in his first few months with his prominent team leadership skills
and after sometimes his performance was getting low and get negative impact on the trainees and
employees and other reason was Mrs. Sara who was on the maternity leave from last 13 months
and her position was delegated to Mr. Cooper who was the head of operations where he has to
handle two departments and it was not an easy task. Operations department already has its own
