INTRODUCTION
Work based learning is the strategic approach which helps in providing real-life
experience to individuals, which helps in applying the academic and tactical skills results in
developing employability. It is generally formal, informal arrangements which provides
approaches for career awareness exploring of career, and planning which helps in attaining
positive attitudes towards work. This learning is important as it provides various opportunities in
different fields for interacting with head professional which further helps in raking corporate
decisions for achieving desired goal. This project report is based on initiating, planning the
training and development project in Hilton hotel. Also managing, monitoring and evaluating the
progress of training from initiation till completion. Further more explaining the achievement of
deadlines and gained benefits at each stage of aims and objectives of training, lastly reflecting
and evaluating experience at Hilton hotel by linking swot, pestle and refection model.
MAIN BODY
1. Planning and initiating the project by Setting targets, aims and objectives for project .
Initiating a project in Hilton industry is mainly considered as starting of new plan in
premises. As initiating training project, the business problems is being identified first then the
solution of problem is defined by forming task and further the project team for training is being
appointed for executing plan in workplace which helps in building and delivering solution to
various staff personnels. With the development of modern technologies and the whole corporates
environment of business requires more skilled qualifies personnels and better employees today
Initiating training by setting target aims and objectives. The aim of the company would be to
increase the awareness of the organization and its employee about the Post Covid-19
measurements. In order to implement these practices the organization would need to provide the
employee training regarding the ways which are needed to be implemented.

The main aim of this business is to take effective measurements to tackle the post Covid
impacts that will help of training the employees.
Objectives :
ï‚· To increase health and hygiene importance in the hospitality operations.
ï‚· To provide the customers with healthy food through maintaining quality standards.
ï‚· To utilize technology for ensuring effectively for interacting with guests.
ï‚· To develop the brand image as a post Covid safe hospitality organization.
Planning training program:
The training program is planned in Hilton hotel by identifying needs by assessing various
staff and personnels needs. As it helps in developing skills and abilities which are lacking in
staff. Firstly by defining the objectives of training for the staff, as the objective of training is to
provide proper skills required for performing job assigned to staff as it helps in performing
various responsibilities (Aboyassin and Sultan, 2017). As of mastering key master control by
trainers must be kerned, for maintaining credit limit report, checking cash handling cash,
generating report for analysis for maintaining report in system which helps in developing
competent employees and increases growth and performance of Hilton hotel. It would be very
important for the organization to train the employees according to the actions it needs to take on
Post Covid-19 impacts. After establishing the objective of training the materials for training has
been assembled for online training proper computer system with high technical support and
internet access will be required. After assembling material for training planning presentation
techniques will be acquired mainly excel, PowerPoint, level presentation, it skills, and self
testing of different martial in very necessary. For educating staffs related to various aspects of
job.
Target :
The main target for Hilton through providing the training to their staff for the post Covid-
19 strategies which they need to implement in their operations. It would be to reach a level of
effectiveness which shows the efficiency of the organization to provide their customers with
their hospitality operations (Giadedi and Daim, 2018). This project will be considered to be the
successful when the business will develop a brand image regarding a safe organization even in
the difficult times.

2. Managing, monitoring and evaluating the progress from initiation till completion throughout
the project life cycle.
In this project life cycle for Hilton and their aim for providing the training to their
employees in order to ensure their practices to be inclusive of post Covid measures. The project
life cycle consists of the following stages which help in project development of the practices,
Project Initiation :
The start of this project would be from understanding of the key needs of the training
which would help in identification of the training needs. These training needs Hilton would be
ensured the health and hygiene in the practices of the organization. In this stage the employees
will be presented to learning opportunities which will be with the help of work related practices,
mentoring and also lectures which would help in developing appropriate training sessions
(Ahmed, 2018). According to the training objectives the training will be initiated and the
employees will be at first give an over view of the organizations demands which will be filled
from the training sessions.
Project Planning :
It is important for the organization to create a plan which will be based on the aims and
objectives of the project. This training program will require a plan. In this plan the first step
which will be taken would be to define the learning objectives which are going to be the most
important part of the planning as it will specify the trainees what they want to learn. All the areas
in which the employee will have to change their approaches will be mentions. The ways in which
the organization will ensure the quality of the management will be through the organization of
the key elements which are going to be necessary for the growth of the business (Bushuyev and
Verenych, 2018).
Project Execution :
In the implementation of the training program the organization would focus on
establishment of the goals which would help the Hilton to explain the objectives of the training
and development of the business to provide the business with growth. In the execution of this
training session the training practices of the organization are needed to be utilized for the
development of the organization in this employee training program (Gorecky, Khamis and Mura,
2017). It is the job of the project manager to track the areas in which there is a need of improving
health and hygiene practices which would allow the business to achieve growth.

Project Monitoring and controlling :
Understanding the performance of the employees after the training has been provided will
provide the new insights of those areas which can help to improve the training even further. It
would also help contain the process through which the equipments and equipments of the
training of health and hygiene that are going to be needed will be organized in the training. In
this stage the monitoring of the training will be done in which all the risk are going to get
identified and resolved.
Project Closure :
It can be said that the training programme will be closed after taking feedbacks from both
the customers and the employees about their views on how efficient has the training been
towards provide the organization efficiency of their project management (Pantouvakis, 2017).
These phase is most important in which the organization will be able to understand the areas in
which it requires to improve its operational practices which would help the business in the
growth of the organization. This would provide the business with growth opportunities which
would help in the business development.

The benefits of the these stages of project life cycle are going to be extremely essential
for the business to understand what would make this project successful for Hilton hotel. In the
initiation stage it is going to be important for the organization begin with the training exercises.
This training initiation will contain explanation the objectives and also development of standards
(Musa and et.al., 2018). The benefits of providing the employees with the proper understanding
of the aims and objectives will be to make them understand about the importance of health and
safety practices in the post Covid-19 department. Main benefits of the planning is that it will
allow the training to be systematic and also be effective in the management of the organizational
performance. The application of the planning will help the employee to understand the key
options which the organization has in the management of the business. In this training project the
execution would be considered to be beneficial when the business will be able to ensure that the
customers are noticing and appreciating the efforts given by the employees influencing health
and hygiene. The closure of this project will be benefiting the organization when the Hilton will
get positive feedbacks from the customers and employees. This will improve the brand image of
the organization and that will make Hilton a hotel which is safe and healthy hospitality
institution.
4. Reflecting and evaluating experience and learning at the Hilton hotel by linking and applying
various theories.
Applying Gibbs model of refection has helped me in defining my experience from the
workplace. Being assigned as a front office manager at Hilton hotel, has helped me in developing
various skills, knowledge and it was a great experience. Responsibilities and duties being
assigned by hotel head manager is for performing front office manager at Hilton was selecting
and scheduling front office task, supervising workload situations, maintaining better
relationships in different departments of hotel, helps in resolving guests problems and daily
reviewing front office work. By performing these duties and responsibility had helped me in
determining my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for performing this job and
helps in improving abilities, qualities and time management (Davronov, Umirov and
Mukhamedjanova, 2020). At the time of appointment as a front office manager by receiving
letter of appointment by Hilton hotel, I was very happy and felt gratitude feeling towards my
parents and divinity. The position that I have always desired and the eduction that I have
acquired and working on for this job for a long time has finally came true by acquiring the front

office manager at luxury Hilton hotel. I was very satisfied and blessed by this job and the
environment of Hilton hotel. various duties assigned as a front office manger for the job I was
unable to performed some of them which includes training the other personnel, maintaining key
control on others, monitoring high guests balances, and was not able to do occupancy
forecasting. But there are various things that worked well while performing various duties of
front office manager as I have gained a lot of high degree of hospitality experience with many
duties and also certified as the hotel front office administrator which will help me in future
progressing my career. These all have contributed positively in performing the job. I think the
reason that initial work of front office of daily presenting payrolls, ensuring proper working of
the whole hotel staff by giving feedback and assisting them in improving overall performance
went so well. I have never experienced such sort of working in any hospitality industry before it
had helped me in discovering and self identifying more required skills, abilities. I have really
enjoyed working in those areas which has matched my strengths, and weaknesses. The major
skills that I must acquire for performing well in the company as a front office manager is good
verbal communication ability, training new personnels, presentation skills, being extrovert by
building expressiveness. Being employee and part of staff personnel at Hilton hotel has also
opened various opportunities for me in building my career in various travel and tourism industry
sectors. I have learned that by managing proper work and acquiring various skills will help me in
overcoming various issues and further helps in growing my performance in Hilton. I will
continue to identify my strengths an weakness for better framing my skills and abilities. I have
also learned that sometimes we must challenge the various opportunities arising in order to get
top priority in workplace.
By linking pestle model have affected the training project and my job as front office
manger as the political factor including taxes policies imposed by government on hotel, tariffs
and regulations will affect training operations of hotel, also the interest rates of staffs and various
economic factor affect training sessions, further more the social factors affects groups ,staff with
eduction level and my work in Hilton hotel. Also, with Porter five forces model various
competitors in today environment is Rising daily, this has affected my job post in the industry as
various new applicants have applied for various posts by acquiring latest skills and for the hotel
industry new competitors is been rising daily and competing the Hilton in business growth, also
the threats of substitutes in hotel industry that I have seen in Hilton is the traffic of tourists and

various big new hotels replacing price sensitive hotels. also the products and services beings sold
at various hotels with better quality and more discounts was regarded as threat of substitutes of
shifting consumers at cheaper hotels.
CONCLUSION
From this project it was concluded that Hotel Hilton with the help of training will be able
to influence the business to prepare for the post Covid-19 practices through health and hygiene.
In this project the aims, objectives and targets are set for the training practices of the business.
This project will also manage and monitor the evaluation of the progress of the project through
the different stages of project lifestyle. In this project Gantt chart is created for meeting the
deadlines of the project along with the different benefits of the stages which are essential for the
training. In this project a reflection on the experiences during the preparation of SWOT and
PESTLE analysis has been explained.
