INTRODUCTION
A work placement is mainly a period of supervised work, where an individual has the
opportunity to gain experience working in a particular role in an organisation. In addition to this,
it is suitable form of an employment for the student having particular time-period associated with
the sufficient wages of the work performed by them. It is important for a person to gain
experience in working as it help in grabbing better opportunity in future that directly leads to
growth and development. The report covers PESTELE analysis and SWOT analysis that is used
by an organisation in order to evaluate the business environment. In addition to this, there is a
discussion about management practices that has a positive influence on performance of an
employee. Moreover, an audit of personal development and professional development that an
individual expect in order to achieve from the work environment in which they placed

1.1 Appropriate tools to evaluate the business environment of an organisation
PESTLE analysis: It refers to a tool used by management team of any organization in order
to know the current market situation before executing their business functions. This will help
them in getting accurate information related to the market situation so that they can perform their
functions in an effective manner:
Political factor: It is the most essential element of pestle analysis which includes all the
political regulations of the country introduce by the government. In reference to a legal firm, it is
said that if there is any sort of changes or modifications arise in the political regulations, it is
required by the management team of the firm that they must provide training session to their
current staff members. This will help them in enhancing their knowledge and understanding
about the issues and problems arise at the marketplace related to the political factor.
Economical factor: It includes the economic system of a country which consist of inflation
rate, labour cost, taxes and many more. Changes in any sort of laws highly affects the
functioning of a legal firm as they need to modify their functioning as per the changing
