Reflection on the working in the team for challenges
Working in the team makes the work effective and it helps in used to solve the
problem-solving skills of the person. It makes the individual in making the good decisions
and increases the communication skills and interpersonal skills (Deady and et.al., 2020). The
leaders of the team must be smart in order to manage the work and discipline in the team.
This project and challenges are based on the Tesco Company which is as follows:
Apprentice challenge and Presentation challenge: Apprentice style and challenge is
used to develop the communication skills and makes the team members to have and come up
with the new and effective ideas. This helps the organization in order to make their staff to
meet the specific business objectives and aims. By this it manages the operations of the
company effectively (Martin-Grace and et.al., 2020). As Tesco is the largest company in the
UK it used to manage the operations of the company and make the managers to work
effectively. In working in the team it requires everyone has to present their work nicely.
Presentation challenge makes the company the person to choose and make the good content
in the slides. The person can use this challenge by using the screenshots and by making the
interesting data in the presentation.
T-shirt challenge: The T-shirt challenge is the very unique and good idea for the
business in order to offer the t-shirt and design that t-shirts by its own and offers to the
customers (Hasanah and Malik, 2020). This challenge makes the company to have the good
budget and finance. As it makes the company in order to grow by the expected rate as t-shirts
makes the company to grow demand and popularity by printing the variety of t-shirts in the
market. In order to make the business profitable they use have the target audience, have the
new design and must create the new design in order to increase the revenue of the company.
This can be done by fixing the fixed and variable cost for producing the t-shirts in the
company.
Communication skills: From working in the team for the challenge it makes me to
improve my communication skills. It makes me to have the active listening while discussing
on the some topics (Susanti, Juandi and Tamur, 2020). As communication skills is the ability
of the person in order to give and receive the different type of information. It basically
includes the new ideas, feelings and an update on which we are doing the project. As my

communication skills were not good but working on this challenge improves my listening and
speaking power. My confidence level was so low in order to communicate in the team but
working on the team makes me to increase my confidence level. Public speaking was my
weakness as I feel very conscious in order to speak in front of the audience. In order to make
my project effective I had learned from the oral process and make myself to speak up with
the confidence and with the clarity. The effective communication is the most required
communication while doing the work in the business.
Teamwork: Teamwork is the process of working with the group of people in order to
achieve the desired goal. In this people used to cooperate by applying the individual skills
and providing the feedbacks that where the improvements is required (Gapinski, 2018). As I
was working in the team it used to increase my cooperation power and manage the conflicts
between the team. It increases my willingness of doing the work together in the team and
helps us to achieve the objectives. Having the mutual respect, common goals, patience and
the open communication makes the teamwork better and makes the successful team. From
these challenges I used to have good collaboration with my team and also make to have the
combined efforts in order to get the better outcome. As there were so many members
everyone skills, experiences and talents were come together which makes our work effective.
By using the Tuck man’s team development theory which includes the following stages
which are forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning the person can have the
good team work. As by this theory it helps me to have the good team work in order to
perform the work. This theory explains the way in which the members of the team used to
manage the task from the starting sage till the completion of the task (Lohmann and et.al.,
2019). As my team was working from the last months in order to have the good project on the
challenges.
Time management and meeting skills: Time management skills are the skills which
used to organize the time intelligently, which makes the work to be done effectively on the
time. There are many benefits of this like increase the productivity, less stress and creates the
more opportunities (Wang, 2019). As I have developed my time management skills by
making the proper schedule and following that schedule on time. This makes me know that it
makes me to use the resources effectively by improving the time-management skills. The
meeting skills is used to provide the learner in order to plan the meeting, identify the
objectives nada los to prepare and agenda in order to make the proper structure of the plan.
This skill increases my decision-making power and planning the work in order to use the

resources effectively. If the meetings are done in the effective way it makes the person to
effectively by using the right path foe working.
Business skills and competencies developed: Business skills are the skills that help
the person and professionals in order to understand the behaviour of the customers and the
organization (Won and Shirley, 2018). It basically includes the team management, leadership
nod communication skills. Working on these challenges increases my business skills and
improves my leadership qualities by working in the team. This encourages my team-
management skills by working in the team which makes me t know that we can work
smoothly in the team by having the team-cooperation. These skills are very important in the
business also as from the challenges it makes me know that it makes the positive impact on
the business and increases the wealth of the organization. It makes to understand both the
internal and external aspects of the business. I have developed my business skills by
understanding the behaviour of the other people and how to communicate in the public. By
researching on the valuable things and giving the time on the things those are needed to be
done.
Action plan
The action plan is the plan which used to develop the skills that are lacking in the
person by suing the valuable resources (Ahmad and Ahmad, 2019). Thus action plan will
show the skills that are used to be develop over the next three years at the university. This
makes me to plan and outline that are required me to develop my skills ad achieve more
goals. By using the SMART action plan it makes the person to know about his lacking points
which are as follows:
Specific target: My target was to improve my communication skills and to develop
the competencies in order to the best researching for the information about my task and
submits that project on time which helps me to get the good marks.
Measurable: I have to obtain at least 80% in my project as it will encourage me to do
better in my studies. In order to develop my communication I have to be more communicated
with the people and use the correct grammar by at least 75 and I have to also develop my
presentation skills about 50% until my next level. This will helps me to perform well further
in my group activities.

Achievable: I have to achieve and get the business management skills in my next
three years of learning. As my dream is to work in the big company and this skill will help
me to achieve my dream. As there are many people in the company and has to face many
challenges, so this will help to develop my knowledge by working on the different projects,
presentations and the challenges.
Relevant: It is very important to have the skills in order to obtain the good marks and
achievements in the projects and career (SMART Goals: Definition and Examples, 2022). I
have to improve my business management skills and knowledge that are necessary in order to
get the good job. In order to get this I will give my effort, time, capacities and amount of
money in order to achieve the goals.
Timely: This includes the time period decided by the person in order to develop the
skills. I have planned to develop my communication, presentation, team-management skills
till the March 2022. By focusing on my skills it makes me to achieve the skills faster in the
next three years.
