1SAFETY AUDIT
The management of XXX Pvt Ltd has conducted a health and safety audit for ABC
company. The health team from XXX has visited ABC company on the respective date to focus
on specific aspects that are related to health and safety, such as recognition of hazards,
assessments of risks and control of biological, physical, and chemical agents as well as hazards
that are related to psychosocial. A full overview of the Audit was designed, and a range of
management, HR, sales, facilities, and maintenance staff was involved. Interviews were
conducted depending on the observation, and XXX Pvt Ltd. asked evidence proofs.
The critical risks linked with Workplace Safety observed during Audit are as follows:
Nonfulfillment of Acts such as
Workers Compensation Board
Union Agreements
Workplace Safety and Health Act
Unwilling to follow safety practices
Save time and money
No central coordination in the workplace
Lack in addressing a safety concern
Inadequate information towards laboratory performance
Inadequately trained staff and insufficient funding
Improper availability of lab equipment
The risk assessment and control
Deviating from the guidelines and noncompliance of the health and safety act would affect the
company’s worker and maintenance team more. The risk observed during Audit
Improper lab equipment would affect individual health. The use of chemicals requires
proper caution, and no cautions were followed in ABC company, which would further

affect the Research and development group of the company. The lab specimens were not
appropriately maintained; therefore, it would further lead to the prevention of any animal
work in the future if observed by the animal safety team (Hale & Booth, 2019).
The fire extinguisher needs to the full; however, it was noticed that there was no fire
alarm as well as the empty fire extinguisher. This would make the scenario difficult if
there is any fire.
The work environment was not clean, and the lights were very low. It would stress the
employee's eyes and hygiene. The workplace must be airy and must have enough lights
so that the employees are not stressed and can work comfortably and adequately (Lajinha
& Diogo, 2020).
The bathroom does not have filled sanitizer and hand wash. Even there was no paper
towel in the bathroom. This is the primary point for better hygiene. It would affect an
employee’s health physically. The sanitizers and hand wash must always be filled so that
employees, before starting their work, can wash their hands properly (Lingard &
Wakefield, 2019).
The air conditioner vent was dirty, which needs regular cleaning to keep germ away.
The floors were not cleaned properly, which would lead to injury if any person falls. The
floor needs regular cleaning and drying so that no slips down and fall on the ground. That
would further affect the company’s reputation, and also, the person can claim money
from the company due to the accident because of the company’s carelessness (Wong,
Dawson & Van dongen, 2019).
All these risk assessments need to be controlled.
