INTRODUCTION
To operate a business there is need to conduct the market analysis as it helps to know which
factor might be affect the organizational productivity and profitability. The current report is
about workforce planning that is the continuous process used to align the needs and give priority
of the organization (Alred, 2014). The Gucci is the large size organization that is an Italian high
–end luxury fashion house based in Florence, Italy. This company offers high quality of hand
bags, ready to wear, footwear, accessories, make up, and others that supports to operate their
business. The report covers business issues, reflection and develop plan to complete their
research.
TASK 1
Workforce planning
Workforce planning could be explained as main process of organization in which existing
employees are analysed and plans for future requirement through talent gap assessment and
developing employees. This is important for each organization to have skilled and talented
people as they involves in organizational functions and activities effectively. The managers is
having major role at the workplace who identify the vacant position and recruit the workforce by
managing all functions properly. In relation to Gucci, management mainly focuses on workforce
planning by recruiting skilled employees that supported to manage all functions and bring new
technology in order to accomplish business goals.
Business issues faced by Gucci while operation
Increasing employee turnover- Employee turnover is the major issue for each
organization as people who work in organization needs to motivation. If staffs are not motivated,
then would be challenging for business to operate it continuously. The meaning of employee
turnover is people leaves the organization in case lack of motivation. Gucci is luxury brand that
offers different types of products as well as services with the help of employees. It has seen that
company is facing the issue of increasing employee turnover due to lack of motivation that
affected the organizational productivity (Flint, Zisook, and Fisher, 2011).
Occurrence of pandemic – The environment is changing day by day which has created
the challenges for organization to continue their business. Such as Covid-19 occurred in 2019
due to which all businesses and workforce also has been affected negatively. The government

has declared the lockdown where no was allowed to manage and work at workplace. Gucci
faced the challenge of pandemic where no people were allowed to go office and not operating
their business regularly. This has been affected organizational productivity and profitability.
Globalization – This is the integration of different countries who are agreed to run their
business by accepting new legislative and acts as it can help to operate the business regularly and
increase performance. In relation to Gucci, management faced the challenge of globalization as
where countries have integrated to manage all functions and activities which are established in
other country. This can help to maintain higher performance and productivity effectively. The
managers also have good knowledge and skills which can be used to overcome the business issue
that can help to improve the business performance (Bolman, and Deal, 2017).
How company is reacting, ensuring that the conclusion offered recommendations of how a
business can solve the issue.
As Gucci is facing different types of business issues such as globalization, increasing
employee turnover, pandemic and others that affected the business productivity negatively. The
company is reacting negatively as many problems have risen while operation where it became
important to solve the business issues by applying different practices and regulations which can
help to operate the business effectively. To solve the business issues here is need to have good
understanding and knowledge about marketing and good skills which could be used to influence
the number of people or employees then get ready to work effectively. In relation to Gucci,
management plays important role who conduct the environment analysis and comes to know
how business issues can be resolved by understanding the problem and introduce new ways to
resolve the issues.
Moreover, use of new technology is effective ways that can be used to introduce the new
products and services in changing environment. By using this, management of Gucci can reduce
the pandemic in which it offers its products and services via digital marketing and online method
that could help to operate the business effectively and managed the organizational performance
(Esposito, Berlin, and Lal, 2012).
Motivation is the another way which can be used to motivate the employees by employer as
it helps to make happy them and supports to develop organizational productivity. In relation to
Gucci, management can use different types of motivation strategies and influence their

employees to work effectively by accepting the challenges that can help to develop the
organizational productivity (Dahama, 2019).
Training and development is also an effective way which can be used by organization for the
purpose of influencing their staff and make them expert in their business functions. In relation to
Gucci, managers should be provides training and development programme to their employees
that can help to accept the challenges and supports to improve the organizational performance.
This also bring changes in their existing activity and maintaining higher productivity.
TASK 2
Reflection
The task 1 was about workforce planning that have learnt me different things and
activities which could be used by me to improve my skills and accept the future challenges. This
is important to me to analysis the market and comes to know what issues could be rise while
operation and how it can be resolved. From the module I have learnt that how to collect the
people, after recruitment of skilled people and then get work done effectively which supports to
improve the organizational productivity. When I was studying in college came to know different
types of personal skills which could be used for the purpose of running and operating their
business in changing environment. According to me, workforce planning is most important
function in organization in which number of people collected to understand organizational goals
and give their contribution to complete the project on particular basis (Darling-Hammond, and
McLaughlin, 2011).
The learning is important part of individual’s life as it used to know and learn new things
which can help to regulate the business and maintain higher performance. Th learning is needed
for people as they wants to bring changes in their existing thoughts and maintain higher
performance. In relation to above task, training and development is the important function which
is used by employees for the purpose of improving their knowledge and skills in work planning
field. If there is learning then would be challenging for organization tp operate their business and
manage the functions. This is important for me to analysis all environment and comes to know
their productivity and profitability. Learning is the activity of influencing number of people by
managing all functions and activities. learning is the continuous process of improving self-
knowledge and understand the goals then contribute accordingly.

From the model of workforce planning I have improved my communication,
interpersonal,. Mathematical, and management skills which would help to attain future
opportunities. The skills are most important as it bring new ways to solve problems that might
be arises while working and helps to solve them. The module of workforce planning will help me
in future studies and maintenance of organization.
