Introduction In this assignment I will be writing a report about how do organizational beliefs, attitudes, and value systems affect workplace behavior. As we have been taught by our lecturer what are the meanings of critical thinking and how to apply it in an organization. Critically thinking skill encompasses the skill in the person that helps him/her to involve in independent thinking or reflective thinking (Paul and Elder, 2015).It is capable to recognize the logical links among the ideas, to construct, assess or identify the opinions, distinguish the mistakes/inconsistencies, solving different problems in a systematic manner, to recognize the importance of relevance of the ideas and to reveal on the reasoning of a person’s own values, beliefs and attitudes. On the other hand, the critical thinking skill is not about the matter of gathering information. However, an individual is not being a good critical thinker if he/she has sharp memory as well as knows many facts (Clay-Warner and Robinson, 2015). Then, both positive and negative events initiate critical thinking skills. Thus, critical thinking is rational and emotive. ORGANISATION BRIEF INTRODUCTION Samsung Electronics was founded in 1969 and quickly became a major manufacturer in the Korean market. During this initial period a burst of growth came from the burgeoning home electronics business and the company began exporting its products for the first time. Samsung Electronics also acquired a 50 percent stake in Korea Semiconductor; further solidifying Samsung Electronics' position as a leader in semiconductor manufacturing. It helps the company to manage their relationship with the employees and customer (.Kerr, S ., 2019). Beliefs are assumption that company hold based on their previous experience and Value is the creditable ideas based on things, concepts and people. Company belief, value and attitude affect the work place because it develops motivation and passion and confidence in the employees. It will help to develop passion among individual and lead them to achieving better result. Company Attitude help the employees to shape in the right way and influence their behavior to achieving a favorable outcome. Samsungfollows different leadership theory and motivational theory which help the company to improving their belief, attitude and values that affect the workplace behavior (Owusu- Agyeman, 2021). Before covid pandemic, company followcontingency leadership theorywhich is very beneficial and important for them . Contingency theory is an organizational theory that claimed that there is not the best way to organize a corporation, take the decision and lead the company. The optimal course of action depending on the company external and internal situation. It helps
company leaders to flexibly choosing and adapting effective strategies which help in the changing situation at the particular period . This theory helps the company to take right decision in covid pandemic.Contingencytheoryexplainvarioussituationalfactorthatcanaffectthedirect relationship between independent and dependent variables in the company. It is a management theory that suggest very appropriate style and solution on the basis of current situation. Contingency manager pay attention to every situation and make effort to find out the best solution for the problem. It is beneficial for Samsung because it gives the potential to the company to learn from the situation. They have ability to adopt external pressure and applying changes in the company . This theory helps the company to making their values belief and attitude in an effective way on the basis of the situation. Further more this theory help the company to create better working behavior on the basis of understanding the situation. Before pandemic, the company has adoptedMaslow hierarchy theoryin order to ensure motivate the employees. It has been performed by Samsung in context of managing attitude, belief and values that affect the employees to fulfill their need. Maslow hierarchy of need theory includes five level of human needs that allow to fulfill their individual need (Jungert,2021). This theory helps the company to determine how to effectively motivate the employees and fulfill their needs. Keeping employees engaged and motivate them is important for achieving the company and making positive working environment. Abraham Maslow created this theory that human is motivated by five essential needs. The needs are physiological, safety, social, self-esteem and self actualization need. Physiological need-This includes basic need such as food, water, sleep, monthly salary, comfortable working environment and essential facility . Safety need-This includes having formal contract of employments well as other benefits includes comfort, security, stability, pension scheme and sick pay. There should be an importance of safety a security in the working environment. Social needs– It includes social image, prestige, status which help the employees to increase confidence. Managing the employees social needs can usually done through promoting groups working across team, department and different level. Motivating and encouraging team member and employees through social activity help the company to increasing the employees' productivity. Make use of communication tools like zoom meeting, Microsoft team help the employees to socialize and collaborate other team employees.Managementareconductingregular meeting and catch with their employees increase social awareness. The company organize various fun games like online quiz to bake alone help the individual to connect with each other. There are various option for increasing social need for the employees in the workplace. Self esteem-This level is most important for motivating the employee in their work place. It includes showing respect for other and congratulations areimportant in this level for increasing job satisfaction. A 360 degree feedback and appraisal help the company to give reward to the employees for their contribution. Peer to peer recognition program, social interaction program will celebrate employees achievement and confer respect. Self actualization-It is last and highest level of motivation factor. By conducting regular talent planning meeting between manager and HR and discussion with the employees help to motivating them(Ștefan 2020.). Impact on Production process: Due to COVID the resources become hard to acquire company was not able to carry technological resources with the help of import procedure. This has impacted the production process of the company. Samsung needs to assure consistent supply in market. Due to Lack of resources the production process of the company gets impacted. This has further impacted the profitability of the company. Impact on Employees motivation: TheTheory of human relationis concerned with maintaining the values, beliefs and attitude of the employees. Thus, this is associated with the management of the social structure at the workplace. In COVID the company has mainly shifted its attention over managing the working procedure as many of the employees become COVID positive due to which the ratio of employees who are working in company become less. In such situation, the pressure over remaining employees has been increased (Ishii and et.al ., 2020).Thus, the disturbance in the application of human relation theory has been witnessed. The motivation of the employees has been reduced that has impacted their pattern of working in the organization. Impact on Customer satisfaction: SAMSUNGhas been proven one of the leading firm that focuses over the internal and external environment equally. The major focus by the company has been made over their internal environment that helps in performing the effective working procedure that meets the customer requirements.The theory of customer satisfactionstates that customer makes purchasing in accordance with their belief and attitude. However, at the time of pandemic the online presence of
SAMSUNG was effective. Even-though the company did not witnessed the more number of transaction. Changes faced in context of belief, attitude and value system due to COVID Samsung has been proven effective enough in maintaining the belief, attitude and value system that has affected the workplace behaviour in positive manner before COVID. However, during the COVID the situation has been changed it often impacted the belief attitude and value system in the organization that has impacted the workplace behaviour of the company. CEO of the company has always focused over the welfare of employees. However, the pandemic has shifted the attention over reducing the risk for the company. In this context heavy pressure has been made over the employees to reach the targets. It has been found from various studies that, even at the time of Pandemic Samsung has tries its best in order to assure effective services in market. The major changes that has been faced by the company in workplace behaviour are: Disturbance in synthesize work-flow The excessive work pressure has been created over those employees who were not positive at the time of COVID. However, their well-being has been taken in consideration ineffective manner. The scientific management theoryis associated with the management of the synthesizes workflow that helps in managing the productivity of the employees (Dahlgaard-Park and et.al., 2018).Thus, this helps in increasing the productivity of labours and employees and often creates higher morals in them. Due to COVID, the application of this theory has been impacted as the rate of employees become less in the company. Thus, the workflow procedure gets impacted as the remaining employees has experienced high pressure. Value system of organization The system theory of managementstates that organization is like a human body that is consists of different components and all of these components delivery effective strategies for organization. Thus, this theory has been adopted by Samsung in term of creating effective value system in organization (Klein, Solinger and Duflot, 2022).Thus, this value system of organization has been impacted due to COVID. As due to social distancing large number of employees was working from home and the appropriate system of communication and feedback got impacted. Thus, the COVID has impacted the Value system of the Samsung that was associated with the effective system of working. Furthermore, the value of employees often impacted. Impact over attitude aspects SamsungcompanyhasadoptedtheattitudethatderivesfromtheBureaucratic Management. This management has been adopted when organization is large and have multiple layers of management. Thus, earlier the organization used to adopt the Bureaucratic Management. However, during the COVID this attitude of Organization has been impacted. As the multiple layer of management has been transmitted over online platform due to work from policy and this has creates the ineffective management as many of the employees does not able to cooperate in effective manner due to Work from home policy. Often, many employees have to adopt the family responsibilities and workplace responsibilities at same time. This has made situation more complex. AS COVID has made everyone serious regarding the personal hygiene as it impacts the spread of infection and health on an individual (Buheji and Buheji, 2020). Social distancing creates team unity Working from home will lead to share the personal stories of employees in this manner the team unity can be created within managing the interaction among the employees. In this manner, the social distancing will make bond among employees more-stronger (Kaushik and Guleria, 2020). Flexibility in working After COVID the flexibility has been assured in the working procedure of the company as organization has been shifted over remote working in order to recreate the attitude, belief and value systemthathelpsinmanagingtheorganizationworkingprocedure.Thus,theflexibilityto employees will be assured. Recommendation The major recommendation to the Samsung that will help in managing attitude, belief and value system at the workplace. Focus over employee mental well-being It is important to focus over employees well-being as during COVID large number of employees have lost their family members and faced crisis. Thus, this has impacted them in drastic manner. Therefore, Samsung must focus over managing employees well being. As a result, this will impact the physical well-being of employees in positive manner (Giorgi and et.al., 2020). Support assure to employees Support needs to be assured to employees so, the value and belief of the employees can be maintained and their attention can be drive towards the effective working in organization. Many employees find difficult the concept of remote working. Therefore, leaders of Samsung must provide support to employees. Technological training session Training session needs to be organized for employees so, they can learn the remote working as now it has become important element after COVID. Samsung is a technological company therefore, the employees must be highly trained therefore, training should be organize that helps employees to learn and perform remote working in effective manner. CONCLUSION From the above report it has been concluded that, attitude, belief and value system are the major important aspects that helps in managing workplace procedure in the organization. There are large number of challenges has been faced by organization in this context. However, effective understanding and application of theories can help in the management procedure of the company. Along with this, report has highlighted the impact of COVID over the working procedure of company. Also, ways in which attitude, belief and value system got impacted has also been analysed in the report. I learned about what is critical thinking and how they affected to the individual in personal and professional life. I learned about the importance, concepts and components of the critical thinking. During this section I was improved my communication skill, which help me out enhance my confidence. I feel, how much communication skill is important in life and enhance my personality. This skill help me to boosting my confidence, my personality, vocabulary skill. I feel how much important to learning various topics in life. From that section, I learned communication skill and their importance in my life. It helps me to improving my personal and professional relationship by understand to the other people. This skill help me to exchange information, knowledge, relation with other. Communication skill is very important in my life because it gives me confidence to express myself in front of anyone. It helps to me convey my through and my feeling more effectively and proper way so that other person understand very clearly and in proper way. I was thinking, effective communication was very tough for me could not learn. Week 3 With the help of these sessions, I was able to perform critical thinking based on intellectual skills and psychological habits. I observed it helps to make it easier to solve problems and discover truths as well as communicate clearly. Also, I learnt that by critical thinking problems can be easily get solved by thinking clearly and it adds value as well. I applied the human relation approach theory which is a basic approach to the management which emphasizes importance of individual attitudes and interpersonal relation for organization effectiveness. Human relation approach also used for attentional, building up social interactions, and the achievement of individual. It increases the work productivity only when the proper attention is provided by the management. Managing the relation and motivation is important in workplace for better outcomes. Development of workplace requires the human relation approach (Miller and et.al., 2018). I observed that the proper communication and thinking critically skills are useful to work in teams as well. In team building, I get to know importance of teams and some skills which are important for the formation. I learnt about time management and its importance and also I applied this on my daily basis as I found how the managing the time makes work even easier overall it leads to advantages. Secondly, I learnt about critical thinking which allows creating better and familiar decisions. Also, I found that Thinking critically about the aspects helps to get through all sides of issues such as reflecting to experiences and get to know about others opinion. In team listening is also important, I can say that working with open mind because team members see things from different perspective and listen them out. Week 4 In this session, I learnt about management skills in which I analysed that people can develop even better for easy to carry out solutions to the problems and make decisions as with rapid changes in business. I get to know about the logical stages or problems and how people observe to think in creative and critical way. With management skills, I get to know about interpersonal skills in which effectively dealing with is important. Management jobs is all about people and able to build successful relation is inherent. I learnt about forward planning and strategic thinking in workplace is important to think about bringing the changes in future plans. I applied problem solving and decision-making useful as there are many problems which is faced in workplace and I assumed that for dealing with issues skills are important for dealing with issues and handling over the situations (Sadagheyani and et.al., 2021). Further, I found out about the commercial awareness and it is in demand, by the recruiter it is the something where the most of the graduates lack. I can say that awareness about the organization mission and aims is to be seemed and understanding of the sector to which company belongs. I found out that There are political and economic issues which creates the negative effect as well. I thought people with good communication skills should be supportive for the workplace as it brings very positive outcomes for the company. In my opinion mentoring works towards the advising staff and building their confidence as well as motivation. Week 5 With the help of this session of week 5, I was able to learn someproblem solving skillsand this helped me in understanding the aspects as to how I was able to gain this skill. With the help of this skill, I was able to create value for how the problems are solved within the management and at the workplace. I have experienced by working with certain members in the team and have analysed that how some problems are solved and analysed at large scale. In this session, I have learned that it is very important to identify and solve certain problems which helps in accessing the different measures of how I was able to improve my work at large scale. With the help of decision making skills, I was able to apply and learn many techniques which will help me in creating value for the aspects of how the growth and development of the workplace was taken into consideration. In this session, I was also able to learn analyse the problems and then accordingly take the decisions (Jordan, Ashkanasy and Lawrence, 2022). The management theory which was applied while learning in this session was Contingency Theory. With the help of this theory and its application, I was able to address and analyse that this organizational theory claimed that there is no best way to organize a workplace or company which leads a company and makes the decisions. My old thinking was that I was unable to take decisions which made it difficult for me when I was in some difficult situation and was unable to solve it. My new thinking has been immerged as positively thinking towards taking a decision which will help me in my future work and will improve my performance. Week 7 In this session of week 7, I have learned that beliefs, attitudes and values are the major part of behaviour which are addressed and are identified along with recognition at the workplace. During the session, I had felt that thatemotional awarenessis must skill which I should learn with the help of attributing to certain beliefs, attitudes and values. This will also help me in my future professional as well as personal career. I have felt that while understanding beliefs and values, I will be able to many things and learn new behaviours which will help me in understanding and learning certain skills and values at large scale (Parlamis and Monnot, 2019). With the help of existing theory which is Systems Theory was being taken into consideration at large scale. The theory was taken into application which helped me in understanding system’s dynamics, conditions and constraints at every level and in every field within the workplace. My old thinking was that I used to work in a very professional manner which creates problems in my work ethics and created confusions in my beliefs and attitudes. My current thinking is that I have learned to be open minded and understand some things in a positive manner so that being emotionally aware helps me in creating value of myself. Week 8

There were different types of sustainability learned within this topic of week 9. With the help of this, I am able to improve mycommercial awareness skillwhich will help ion my future professional career (Hill, Overton and et.al., 2019). I have also felt that there are certain aspects of growth and development which will help me in creating value for the work at large scale. Also, there were certain beliefs which were made understood and provided knowledge of understanding some things. The old thinking of me was not much diversified while in my new thinking process, I am able to analyse the aspects of how to be commercially aware so that sustainability measures and development are understood.
