WORKPLACE SCENARIOS
Scenario 1 (Email to David)
Hello David Thompson,
It is to inform you that in a recovery program by Mental Illness Fellowship of
Queensland (MHFQ) I am your worker in the partners. In simple works, I am an expert that is
appointed through MHFQ program for discussing your problem and finding cures for it. I am
well aware of the problem you are facing right now that is Schizophrenia and its side effects. I
also have treated many patients with the same disease and similar side effects. Most people
consider Schizophrenia as a big problem, however, it is not that big if it is detected and cured in
the early stage. It is the mental disorder in a person about his thinking regarding their feelings,
behaviors and the way of thinking (Boyle, 2014).
As you have gained weight as well as feeling lethargic, it is your duty to feel good for
yourself. Due to this, your behavior is also not desirable towards your family and others as you
are getting verbally aggressive gradually (Bölte, Westerwald, Holtmann, & Freitag, 2011).
Try to do things what you like with your family members. The increased weight is in your hands,
it may take some time to reduce it. However, you defiantly can reduce your weight as much as
you want. These things can only be possible if you feel good and happy for yourself as well as
for your family. Other may or may not be thinking about your weight gain, however by not going
to your college you are defiantly harming your studies as well as giving others a chance of
comment on you (Laursen, 2011).
The people present around you do not have any authority of taking your decisions or can
claim that what you can and cannot wear, or how you can and cannot look. It is your life as well
as your body you have to respect yourself, and then only others can respect you. Moreover, it is

good to be fit and healthy for long and productive life, so while continuing to go to college you
can also join some weight reducing centers or can start cardio exercises, which will help you
gradually in the reduction of your weight (Sekar, Bialas, Rivera, & Davis, 2016). I have
been in this profession for such a long time and like to contact as well as solve different quires of
my patients. It is advised to you to kindly think upon the factors that I have told you and trust me
with your information that it will be kept confidential (Frith, 2014).

Scenario 2 (Question and Answers)
a) In the given situation here are the following rights and responsibilities of Brandon and his
Service Provider:
Brandon: Should provide a safe environment, compensate for provided services, follow
every rule of the contract between client and service provider, should not abuse his power, etc.
Service Provider: Work with the utmost care, no delay or unnecessary breakouts in service
facilities or contract with the client, take service feedbacks in order to improve services, etc
(Gold, Oire, & Fabian, 2012).
b) Brandon should complain about the things to higher authorities or the state’s human
development council. In order to report it, Brandon should directly approach the officials of
that service providing company and discuss his matters. Still, they ignore his plea then he
can write a complain letter to human ministry or development council of the respective
country and ask for settlement against that service providing agency.
