Bartsch and et.al., (2020) has identified that workplace transformation is helpful in
providing a range of benefits to the employer such as empowering employees towards working
in effective manner which leads to increase in both morale and productivity. Also,
transformation in working practices becomes necessary to enhance communication &
collaboration among employees due to the need of work that an organization needs to
accomplish is highly complex and collaborative. Accordingly, need of flexible workspaces arises
to ensure higher collaboration and creativity among team members.
Parker, (2020) has stated that adaptation to changing needs of the environment demands
for workplace transformation, for instance, to remain competitive, retention and attraction of the
best talent and better innovation. Accordingly, there is a need for dramatic workplace
transformation to reap higher benefits and ensure sustainability of business.
Savić, (2020) has identified the importance of workplace transformation with reference of
the emergence of COVID-19 as almost all the business organization across the globe has
implemented transformation in their working pattern by shifting from on site to work from home
practices. This scenario has made it compulsory for organizations to transform their workplace
practices and it can be said that businesses should always be ready and employees should be
motivated enough to implement workplace transformation.
According to the views of Nagel, (2020), the talent management strategies has
become highly intensified with the focus not restricted to just attraction and retention of talent
but also on the provision of support and enabling employees in implementing remote working
effectively. There are many organizations that succeed in implementing remote workplace
through effective planning which helps in better workplace ecosystem along with equipping
employees to support effective and efficient business operations.
Challenges faced in the implementation of workplace transformation
Kim, (2020) has identified that generally organizations faces difficulty in implementing
transformation at workplace because it is s human tendency to resist change when they already
comfortable with the existing processes and tools. With regards to the current scenario where the
COVID-19 has came under control due to which businesses are moving towards their previous
working patterns, there are many employees who are resisting this change and demanding for

Research Methodology.
Research methodology is a set of tools and techniques which is basically used by the
researcher in order to conduct research is more comprehensive and focused manner. The
different type of research method, philosophy, data collection sources, analysis used by the
researcher for current project are as follows: Research Type: The two types of research method is qualitative and quantitative
research. Qualitative research method means collection, analysis and interpretation of
data using theory, concepts etc. While on the other hand, quantitative research involve the
information of topic and aims in the form of facts, figures and numerical data (Taofeeq,
Adeleke and Hassan, 2019). For the present research, the researcher has selected
qualitative research method because it involves theoretical framework and facts to
collect and analyse the impact of Covid-19 over workplace practice transformation.
Research Philosophy: This means the beliefs and values used by the researcher for the
selection of different type of research methods. This is of two type interpretivism and
positivism. For the present research interpretivism philosophy has been selected by
researcher because it involves human interest in data collection and also suit qualitative
method.
Data Collection: There are two sources of data collection which involve primary as well
as secondary. In present research, the researcher has selected both primary and
secondary sources. The survey method is being used by mean of questionnaire for
primary sources and various books, journals, articles, etc. is being used by means of
literature review for collecting secondary data (Susilowati and et.al., 2021).
Sampling: The two types of sampling method is random and non-random sampling
method. In the current research project, the random sample of 30 employees of ALDI
company has been selected by researcher.
Data Analysis: For the present research, the researcher has selected thematic analysis
rather than SPSS software to analyse the data collected from primary sources.

Ethical consideration: The researcher has followed all the ethical values such as consent
form from employee, collection of reliable data from authorized website, storing data in
locker in order to protect the confidential information of company.
Justification of choices made in design of PMP
Project management planning help the researcher in completing each and every activity
of the project in the best manner possible along with the achievement of aims and objectives.
The scope of project is UK retail sector because the project is based on retail company ALDI
whose workplace practices has transformed to large extent due to Covid-19. The schedule and
time selected for this project completion is 2 months because during this time period the
researcher able to meet all aspects of project in the best manner. The cost has been estimated for
present project is £800 because the researcher has identified the funds require for each task or
activities of projects (Pandey and Pandey, 2021). In order to manage the quality of project, the
researcher has use quality management measures because this is one of the best way to manage
project quality and collect reliable data. Face to face or telephonic communication mode will
help the researcher in analysing the facial expression of respondent and quickly respond to
company management and stakeholder respectively. Also, the 10 personnel of human resources
is enough is complete the activities of project on time and achieving project aims and objectives.

TASK 4
Refection
The value I have gained from this present research which include ability to understand
complex ideas, ability to connect theoretical concept with organization context etc. In simple
term, the present research report has helped me in developing and gaining the critical thinking
skills. It is because during this project I have faced difficulty in deciding the aims and objectives
of project. With the help of my research skill, I have managed to set the aims and objectives of
report which has further enhanced my critical thinking skill. This skill has helped me in writing
the literature review in critical manner and providing the best theoretical information on
workplace practices transformation due to Covid-19.
Also, I have faced difficulty in estimating the budget and cost factor of project
management plan which is required to complete the project in successful manner. This is an area
where I have realizes that I am unable to estimate cost and allocate them (Zangirolami-
Raimundo, Echeimberg and Leone, 2018). But I have learned this skill from one of my college
friend who gave me training on budgeting and allocation of cost. Now, I have learned this skill
which I will use further at the time when I receive same research report in the future.
After carrying out this research project, I have learnt about how contemporary businesses
are facing challenges in meeting changing requirements of environment in which they are
operating. With the help of obtaining views through questionnaire from employees of ALDI
company, I am able to understand the varying experiences of different individuals and relating it
with the literature review, I have connected the theoretical concepts and models of organizational
behaviour and management practices with the actual workplace scenario. Further, I have search
for various material to accomplish secondary research through literature review which help me in

improving my research skills. Also, I have communicated with experts, my professor, employees
and other individual holding managing position which help me in improving and enhancing my
people skills. To meet the objectives of this research, I have constructed a questionnaire that I
filled with the employees of ALDI company to understand the concept of workplace
transformation, its importance in the time of pandemic like COVID-19 and what challenges that
management and employees faced due to the need for implementing transformational practices at
workplace. At last, I recognized that I am quite bad in communicating with outsiders which acts
as a barrier in obtaining information in required manner and if I get similar opportunities in the
future, I will ensure better results by working upon my communication skills through getting
involved in more group activities and taking advice from experts and researchers (Singh, Kumar
and Ahmad, 2020).
CONCLUSION
After summing up the above information, it is concluded that Covid-19 situation has
largely affected the retail industry of UK. This report has concluded the transformation of
workplace practices in ALDI company because of the Covid-19 situation in order to manage the
production of products and services such as sanitization arrangement, work from home practices
etc. The report has also covered the various factor that need to be considered for project
management plan. Lastly, in order to complete this project in successful manner the qualitative
